Quai can be merge-mined (mining several chains simultaneously) using multiple algorithms.
For example:
A miner merge-mines Quai + Litecoin.
The miner receives rewards in Quai / Qi, while the LTC rewards go to the Quai Network.
Quai then sells the LTC and uses the proceeds to market-buy $QUAI.
The purchased $QUAI will be distributed to stakers, and later, once TVL becomes sustainable, the $QUAI acquired in future buybacks will be burned, reducing the circulating supply.
