In a recent interview, Pavel Durov mentioned that his brother, Nikolai Durov, is working on something pretty wild — a new kind of AI that can actually understand the world and think logically. Not just predict the next word like today’s LLMs.

It won’t be based on the usual stuff — different architecture, different training approach. And considering Nikolai built the core of VK, Telegram, and TON, this sounds like more than just a side project.

If he’s serious about it, this could be something big.

Artificial Intelligence hasn’t completely replaced developers yet. However, it has largely removed the need to learn coding for simple tasks like:

• building basic web apps
• automating workflows
• integrating APIs, etc

Perhaps we are expecting too much too soon. While it is advancing, it is not fast enough to fully replace developers.
