i don’t watch f1 very religiously. like, yeah, i get the appeal, but it just feels like such a massive waste of money to me. the amount of money that goes into it is genuinely unhinged. but at the same time i find the things behind f1 way more interesting than the actual races.
i read somewhere that f1 isn’t really a sport for daredevils, it’s a sport for nerds. and that actually made a lot of sense. because everything is so calculated. they track and measure every little thing. like, the teams collect terabytes of data just from one race. there are sensors all over the car, measuring tire temperature, brake wear, fuel flow, aerodynamics, engine performance, literally everything. they run simulations constantly. like, even mid race to decide the best time to pit, or how to adjust the strategy based on real time weather and driver performance. they even simulate the weather. they basically build these cars from scratch every season and a lot of it is very futuristic. like, a lot of the tech developed here slowly ends up in regular road cars. better brakes, hybrid engines, more control stuff. so in a weird way, it’s also a very over the top research project about how to make driving safer and more efficient.
and even after spending all that money, most teams don’t actually earn profits from it. they mostly do it for the name, and for the tech and advertisement ig. which is fascinating and a bit absurd at the same time.

the drivers are just the surface. behind them are teams of engineers, analysts, aerodynamicists and strategists running simulations, crunching numbers, and building machines that are more spaceship than car. its actually an inverted aeroplane yk.and the level of innovation is imsane. honestly, the people building those cars could probably fix climate change if they weren’t busy doing wtv this is.
so yeah, i don’t "support” (jaise mete support na karne se duniya khtm h) f1 in the traditional sense, and i definitely question the money spent on it. but at the same time, i can’t help but respect the absolute nerdery behind it.

please dont take me seriously im not in the राइट state of माइंड
people say that when men call women "ma’am", it's sexy or respectful or something like that. like, "yes ma’am, how are you ma’am" apparently that’s supposed to do something for us. but i honestly don’t find it sexy or cool or even polite. it feels off and too performative maybe. what i do find sexy is when someone just says my name, just my actual name. that feels respectful.
