btw the manic pixie dreamgirl archetype is super problematic. it just makes the women into two dimensional figures with no real personality traits whose only job is to fix the "boring" or "sad" men. like their own story doesnt matter.
also the whole idea that being "manic" or "damaged but delightful" is somehow magical or endearing, when in reality mental health issues arent an aesthetic.
like, the mpdg never drives the plot for herself. she exists to inspire him, that’s it and its frustrating, especially when its glorified as height of creativity or individuality.

bro this cultural appropriation is going out of hand
what Prada did with the Kolhapuri chappal is a textbook example of how big fashion houses have long exploited non-Western cultures. they profit off centuries old crafts, while erasing the communities that created them.
and the "scandinavian scarf"? its a dupatta you fuck. when its put on white models, it suddenly becomes “chic” or “innovative.” the irony.
indian culture is all about sharing but sharing doesn’t mean stealing. there’s a huge difference between appreciation and appropriation.
the anger and hurt is absolutely valid. It’s not about gatekeeping culture. it’s about respecting it.

naa hi mujhe tumhare relationship ki kahaniya sunni h na tumhare breakup ko sort karna h behenchod, let me sleep.

i very strongly think that suffering is comparable, no matter how many times i've been cancelled for saying this. and i do have a very good reason to believe this

okay, so this is the front yard. it’s honestly my favorite part of our घर. idk, it’s not like we planned some big fancy garden or anything. half of these plants just kind of happened on their own over time. but now it’s just… green. like, properly green. i do everything here. like, everything. i’ve read books here, cried here, had coffee here, just sat here to do nothing. we even tried our hand at a bit of farming. just a few chillis, tomatoes, bottlegourd, mango, litchi, guava, chiku, lemon, papaya, or kuch kuch toh hai. and the flowers. ok bye

books unopened. tabs left hanging. ideas circling like moths.
i keep promising myself i’ll start tomorrow. but tomorrow is always already full. and the guilt of wanting more time has started to rot the joy out of the time i do have.
if someone knows how to split yourself into five people and still keep one of them sane lmk.
