My friend the TaoistCryptoBanker is leading a Busking for Bitcoins challenge. Are you a musician or performer who misses being able to perform live? Well then you should join the challenge, as he'll show you how to get setup with live streamed BTC payments! I'll be there too :)

Free training on how to use and integrate 5 different Lightning Bitcoin wallets. I hope you all join me there to test out these brand new capabilities.

IF you know any musicians please share this link with them. I'd love to help them realize streaming liberty by streaming their sound for streaming Satoshis sent from their fans.

I'm going to be leading parallel groups with a Public/Private version here on Telegram and a Private Group on Facebook. I'm working towards simulcasting to multiple crypto video platforms as well over the next couple days.

I hope to see you all there.

Its so easy to get sold by privacy marketing these days.

For anyone who's used Brave, they have a really funny way of downplaying that they whitelist Facebook & Twitter trackers.

"We found that blocking certain third-party scripts broke many sites, so predicated on our cookie blocking and fingerprinting protection, we hardcoded some exceptions (Twitter/FB) to ensure the best possible user experience."

"Fingerprinting is not always a reliable tracking method."

This combined with their built-in Telemetry has me wondering why anyone would use it.

For those asking for browser recommendations, at this time I recommend ungoogled-chromium, which looks to remove all dependencies on Google services from the Chromium browser. It also borrows patches from other privacy focused browsers. I finished getting setup today. Much faster than the Firefox based browser I was using.

More info on the project here.

Reported this afternoon, news of the USPS browsing our Telegram chats looking for inflammatory remarks.

If there's any USPS analysts in the chat, you'll be digging for a while. The overwhelming majority of people around the world are peaceful protesters. We want nothing to do with violence, we're just going our own way.
In 2019, Google rejected the charter of a Privacy Interest Working Group (PING) that could block web specifications that were a threat to privacy. They were the only members out of 25 to do so in the W3C.

Two years later, their privacy sandbox features got rolled out. oof

I haven't wrote about this yet, but the story broke in February and I believe its going to be important as we progress forward.

"Adobe, Arm, BBC, Intel, Microsoft and Truepic form coalition to develop end-to-end, open standard for tracing the origin and evolution of digital content"

"A group of influential technology and media companies has partnered to form the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a Joint Development Foundation project established to address the prevalence of disinformation, misinformation and online content fraud through developing technical standards for certifying the source and history or provenance of media content. Founding members Adobe, Arm, BBC, Intel, Microsoft and Truepic seek to establish a standardized provenance solution with the goal of combating misleading content."

London has spoken today.

London has taken the lead today.

The world must follow and put an END to anti freedom tyrants.
Developing and using alternative DNS is one of the best ways to make our internet resilient. So what tld would you want? I'm thinking .above... 😝
We are now ready to open up discussions with anyone who would like to have their own TLD (top level domain) using the private DNS and network of LBRTYnet.

A TLD is the recognizable internet name designation such as .com, .net, etc. At this time, LBRTYnet will honour certain primary ICANN TLDs such as .com, .net, .org, country code TLDs, etc. in order to ensure the "traditional" internet is not broken significantly, as well as existing openNIC TLDs.

Alternatively, if people have a computer they are wanting to use to host their own web site utilizing the .lbrty or .fc (freedom cell) TLD, we are prepared to add an entry into the DNS servers accordingly.

And of course, if someone has the capacity to run their own DNS server to add to the existing DNS server pool for LBRTYnet, we can provide the necessary information to do so.

If any of the above are of interest, please PM us (at the user that posted this or ask in the north of 40 sig and comm telegram group).

For more information on LBRTYnet, please visit the following LBRTYnet gitlab repository. It will be updated with relevant information as quickly as possible.

University of Minnesota security researchers apologize for deliberately buggy Linux patches

The abashed University of Minnesota researchers apologized for their blunders, but the issues are far from resolved. And, Linus Torvalds briefly addresses the fouled up Linux patches.

Last week, some University of Minnesota (UMN) security researchers kicked a hornet nest, when it was revealed that they'd tried to insert deliberately buggy patches into Linux. Greg Kroah-Hartman, the well-respected Linux kernel maintainer for the Linux stable branch, responded by banning not only them but any UMN-connected developers from contributing to the Linux kernel. Now, the researchers have sort of, kind of, apologized for their mistakes: "We sincerely apologize for any harm our research group did to the Linux kernel community."
