0 Hello and welcome to the first song of the Man-Made Sunshine world, 'Life’s Gonna Kill You (If You Let It), and thank you for being here.
For me this song was always going to be the first release. I wanted to be as direct and honest as I could with the ethos of this project, talking about uncomfortable topics in the most earnest way I could and this song showcases that for me. If I'm totally honest, this was about a time in my life of a heavy depression and mental anguish. What saved me from things going too far south was a deep bond I'd formed with a friend in a very similar position. That love helped keep me stable and heal me and in turn, I them. Ultimately, the goal was always to find self-love and self-stability...but at the time this friendship and love held us afloat.

میخواستم از آقای کانر میسون یه تشکر ویژه بکنم؛
چون ایشون با وکال ها و آهنگاشون باعث میشن توی یک دنیای جدید زندگی کنم،دنیایی که کمتر به مشکلات مزخرفم فکر کنم،
دنیایی که منو از آدمی که نسبت به همه چیز خشم و نفرت داره،تبدیل به یک آدم آروم تری بکنه
اینکه خودم رو تو دنیایی که بهش تعلق دارم ولی اونجا نیستم می بینم ،جایی که انگار بارها بودم و هیچوقت نبودم
زندگی با آهنگاش ،راحت تر میگذره
متن این آهنگ مربوط به دوره ای هست که کانر در افسردگی شدید و اضطراب روانی قرار داشته :)
صدای کانر تو این آهنگ برام مثل یک آغوش میمونه،آغوش گرم بعد از یک گریه طولانی
گوشام دیگه زخم شدن از بس گوش دادم بهش،منو آروم میکنه این آهنگ و باعث میشه روزام رو راحت تر بگذرونم ❤️🩹

Each one is its own short film that encompasses the nature of each individual track.
Cos Bust knows me so well it allowed the space for us to really pick at personal subjects of mine. I'll be teasing them out over the coming months. For now here's a pic of me half asleep (cos he's also a beautiful photographer)
