An important context for the rise of Curtis Yarvin (Mencius Moldbug) and neoreaction/'NRx' which not enough people discuss is that Moldbug's blog dropped and got boosted just as the Ron Paul '08 presidential campaign was gathering momentum. Those with populist sentiments were waking up in large quantities at the time to Zionist power, the jewish role in 9/11 and jewish overrepresentation in the financial elite. This all coalesced into a right-wing coded populism emerging in rejection of the neoconservatism of the Bush years as it was becoming clear the Iraq War was a shitshow and the global recession was screwing everyone whilst the bankers received trillions in bailouts.

The NRx critique of libertarianism obviously had an element of truth to it, that trying to limit state power while the opponent tries to actually use it (against you) guarantees losing. But what came bootstrapped to NRx was an admixture of ZOG denial and an affirmation of liberal ends, what was critiqued was only its means. NRx was Machiavellian Liberalism, a way to use state power to secure social and economic liberties. The ideology unsurprisingly attracted techno-utopian and transhumanist types who saw in the left's social agenda hard obstacles to American technological potential, this is why a libertarian tech billionaire homosexual transhumanist like Peter Thiel was attracted to NRx and became so enamored that he made Yarvin his court jew.

Often in our circles people view this type of stuff as an 'op' to suppress genuine nativist and counter-semitic forces from politically mobilizing, but its important to recognize that other groups have concrete ideological goals of their own. Thiel has aligned himself with the West Coast Straussians at the Claremont Institute and Yoram Hazony's National Conservatism because he fears that without a Machiavellian update to right-liberalism the US will unacceptably degrade as a bastion of liberty and technological domination. As Thiel said himself in 2009, "I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible."

For these guys the surge of populist sentiment that swept Trump to power in 2016 presented a opportunity to ideologically redesign the American Right, and of course jews are at the center of this redesign in a leading role because they need to reconstruct the position they held on the American Right during the dominance of neoconservatism. The Machiavellian Liberal paradigm laid down by NRx and the attempt at a neofusionism between it and National Conservatism is good for Jews because the modern Anglo-American tradition has a track record of creating social conditions where Jews have thrived better than under any other system, especially when it's framed in Judeo-Christian Straussian terms and aligned with Zionism. And its good for technofuturist imperialists like Thiel because it offers the potential for more pragmatic governance that tones down the excesses of the left's social agenda in favour of a more realist pursuit of American geopolitical and technological domination.

These people oppose us because we represent the alternative interpretation of what the upswell of populist sentiments across the Anglosphere in rejection of neoconservatism signified - ethnic consciousness, real nationalism, the rejection of ZOG, the restoration of Christian morality - all this however would get in the way of supporting an empire which doesn't serve our interests, social libertarianism and jewish power.
