Whether China can generate a baby boom over the coming decade with state policy to revive its collapsed birthrate is basically an existential question for the future of advanced civilization.
If they can turn it around that provides us with a blueprint in the West to do the same. But whilst banning abortion is a step in the right direction I'm not sure it's enough, I think bans on contraception will also be necessary reforms if they're going to succeed in using natalist social engineering to restore a replacement birthrate.
