Exercise #83: How to Always Know What to Say?
America's biggest problems today (according to StandTogether):
- Education that fails to help students succeed
- Economic Opportunity that’s increasingly out of reach
- Health care that costs too much and delivers too little
- Partisan Division that pits people against each other
Pay attention:
1. Syntax: all bullet points are parallel. When you write copy for your website or your presentation, make sure it is easy to read. Keep your sentences parallel.
2. Meaning: every point is spot on..
Education should help students succeed. Instead, it provides access to the content and the curriculum.
The biggest question must be NOT "How are going to teach it? How are we going to selll the course? How are we going to package the course?" but "How can we help people learn this?"
Becoming a better learner is a life-changing skill indeed.
For me, what works is:
- seeing where I'm NOT a good learner and starting a practice routine to change it
- applying metacognitive strategies
- focusing on knowledge application, not on knowledge aquisition
- practicing rather than studying

🎉NEW! A new interactive practice routine for everyone who needs focused, structured practice in the community of competitive learners … and who dares to achieve native-like fluency.
The Community of Practice is going to change on October 10, 2022.
There will be more cooperation, more results, more focused work, and less wasted effort.
We’re adding weekly focused practice challenges where micro-effort brings wow-results. Every week we choose ONE focus and do ONE exercise to show you how the methodology works, and how you can learn to apply it in your life situations.
If you joined and felt lost, overwhelmed, and clueless relative to where to begin…. I have exciting news for you:
1. I’m releasing a new video course in the next couple of days. If you’re a member, you can get yourself on the waiting list today. It’s free, and it is designed to help new members navigate the community.
2. I’m launching Weekly Focused Practice tomorrow! To read more about it, swipe ➡️. If you’re an active member, you have been already added to the space. If you’re new, join now and try it for free (3-day trial).
3. You choose what you pay for the first month in the community after your trial (you will see this opportunity if you take the video course)
The membership tiers and the prices will change on October 10, 2022.
You can upgrade/downgrade any time.
You can cancel any time too.
The new conditions will apply starting from October 10, 2022.
If you are already a member, or if you join the Community before October 10, you can keep the legacy tariff (which is only $30/mo and $300/year || 2500 RUB/mo or 27500 RUB/year). It gives you all the privileges of the Daring Learner + tier, which is $65/mo.
Join today, start your 7-day free trial, try the new weekly challenges, and see if you want to stay and contribute!
You choose what to pay for the first month because we’re building a community, where everyone contributes, not a service where everybody pays.
We do NOT study the language here. We practice it, just like you practice any skill. What the community does is it helps you organize a structured, deliberate practice routine that brings you JOY and brings you closer to native-like fluency in English every day when you practice. How do I know? Because I’ve been doing these exercises myself. You can listen to my results on Youtube, you read my texts on my blog (I write everything myself), you can join my programs…
You’re basically looking at my own practice routine when you browse through the creative exercises. They have been tested by me and many other real people who dare to set higher standards for themselves. I don’t need to prove that they work. I need to keep my doors open for people who are looking for something real and practical, for those who are understand that it takes guts to change their existing speaking habits. if you need feedback on your effort. Once you become a member, you get mentored by me daily.

At the center of each exercise is YOU rather than the rules of English.
My methodology is human-centered, and my job is to show you that native-like fluency is possible, that the method to achieve it exists, and that real people have already done it. You can do it too.

The Entire Collection of FREE Exercices
Interactive exercise to help you get to know the methodology and start practicing
I sent everyone an email with Three Concrete Ideas and a bunch of resources to start practicing for free. If you don't receive my emails, you can sign up here https://nataliatokar.me/sign-up
To master "something", you need will and skill. If you've been following my work, you must have will. If you are looking for ways to achieve native-like fluency (which is not for everyone), you certainly have it. As for skill, you need some help and guidance here, which is what my work is all about. I can't work with someone who has no will.
It all starts with a thought that probably helped you get your own thoughts moving in the right direction for you. But reading a good thought is not enough. To possess "skill", you need a)help and b) a healthy appetite for work.
"Work" is not really work when you are genuinely interested in what you're doing and when the process of work brings immense JOY.
To achieve native-like fluency, you need to become a better learner, i.e. a daring, creative, and curious learner who can combine desire, will, and a good appetite for work.
These are the essential ingredients to mastery.
Start small and start today. You can join the community of practice to get help and guidance from me until 📌October 10 and claim all the privileges for early adopters.
Start your 7-day free trial, no credit card is needed to begin. Take the free video course. And if you choose to become a founding member before Oct 10, you will save 55%.
To understand what I mean about "beginners", watch my Youtube video "Learn English by embracing a beginner's mindset. A message for advanced students"
I look forward to practicing with you!
Everyone can achieve mastery, but never by setting linear goals. Mastery is about non-linear thinking and recreating yourself daily.
