A wise man once said, ‘Celebrate your accomplishments so thoroughly as to burn the bridge to whom you were before.”
This is extremely important, especially on a lifelong journey. You must stop from time to time and lay claim to the progress you have made. And close off the option of retreating to a smaller version of yourself.
Your accomplishments may be new skills or abilities, or new horizons that you could not see before. It could be new relationships or new possibilities in existing relationships. By claiming them, you mark your progress. It helps to fight off the despair when the way before you seems endless.”

So many language learners are inspired by chat GPT today. They take is seriously. They use it as a dictionary. They glorify it and trust is 100%. They stopped checking the source of information. They trust chat GPT to write and think for them. Almost every post on LInkedIn is AI-generated.

Noam Chomsky, called "the father of modern linguistics" talks about chat GPT.
Another good interview for language learners is here. Start watching at min 19:00 and learn why Chat GPT can't help you learn a foreign language. Learn what "impossible languages" are and why it's dangerous.

People come to me wanting to be understood in unplanned, real-life situations, where things are unpredictable and when they are unprepared. So we get to work on developing their spontaneous speaking skills in English. As we begin to practice full authentic expression in another language, people quickly realize that knowledge of English (as a set of words and grammar rules) isn’t enough to express thoughts, emotions, insights, or experiences.

"it’s impossible to effortlessly and spontaneously express yourself to others in a foreign language unless you have mastered the process of forming thought in that language.
If you don’t practice explaining things to yourself in the target language, you won’t be able to explain them to native speakers."

Why Translating Thoughts Won’t Help You Connect with Native Speakers
👍1
One day you will no longer want to be "correct" or "right", or "excellent", or "better than the competitors".
You will feel how much you missed being REAL, and how much more you need to learn to sound like YOU.
If you're someone who already speaks English well, but you desire more freedom and better fluency...
If you want to connect with native speakers at a deep level...
If you want to learn to be YOU in English, and not a "simplified-but-trying-to-be correct" version of you...
If you want to be seen, considered, and valued as a woman/man, and not only a "high-performing employee"...
you need to raise the bar for how you learn.
I help ambitious, capable, and highly competent people SHINE in the English-speaking world and build better relationships with their teams, investors, children, business partners and clients.
Better relationships usually mean more trust. More trust = more sales. More sales = infinitely more $$$$$.
If you're tired of speaking "correctly", and instead, you're ready to explore how to sound REAL in English, DM me to start a conversation @nataliatokar
I offer Free and Paid products.
If you want to start learning about the method, it's free. Enroll in my free course
If you feel that 1:1 coaching or 12 months of self-paced practice with my direct feedback would work better for you, DM me and I'll tell you more.
P.S. Every Sunday we meet again to practice being authentic, spontaneous, and real in the community of practice.

Does this sound familiar?
When we keep repeating what we know, we stop progressing.
To learn new skills means to be ready to learn a whole NEW way of practicing. People expect to learn new things, but it's all about the new ways.
For example, we can't replace the need to eat with any new knowledge. But we can learn new ways to nourish our bodies in order to feel and look better.
You don't need to sit in class and take notes. You don't need to learn new ingredients (this is what people associate with "learning").
All you need is to learn to pay attention to what you're already doing and ask "is this serving me?". Listening to your body is a lot more difficult than listening to a workshop and taking notes
The same applies to your English skills. Learning new words seems to be tedious work, but it's a lot easier than listening to what you're already saying and questioning your ways of speaking.
Join a FREE MasterClass on Nov 30.
I am NOT going to share a 3-step formula and a 5-day process SO THAT you never have to practice your English again 😁
I am NOT going to sell a "unique" program that will change your English skills in 2 months.
I'm going to show you a faster route to progress than the familiar "so that" loop.
Join us if you're looking for new ways to learn and practice daily.
If you're not ready to integrate conscious practice in your daily life, don't join. You'll waste your time.
