Students often say they practice until they get to “perfection”.

This is an impossible task. They get exhausted.

Instead, honor the rule of iterations and know your number. You need to know when the exercise is going to begin and when it’s going to end.

I know I am going to do 3 rounds, 10 reps each. When I’ve done 30 reps, the exercise has been completed. Otherwise, I’d spend all day in the gym trying to perform a perfect burpee.

Instead, I will come back tomorrow for another round 😉and I’ll enjoy it.

"Practice makes perfect" is not the whole truth.

When you practice the same thing incorrectly, it becomes a strong habit, a bad habit that will be very difficult to break.

Practice mindfully. Ask for feedback. Welcome feedback. It's not about doing the same thing 50 times a day forever. It's about learning to do this ONE thing better and correcting the course as often as necessary.

This ONE thing will eventually change MANY things, including your capacity to learn.

I’ll be inviting more coaches from the 21Accents team to give feedback to the most active members. Even if you’re not attending LIVE sessions with Alex, you’ll get feedback from a professional accent coach if you put in the work.

My new video editor is British. He will edit Sunday Practice Sessions for you so you can use every video as a follow-along exercise without being distracted.

It's incredible to see that my team members are also learning from watching my lessons and doing the best to implement the techniques for better focus and concentration. If you attended the class, you probabbly remember the expression "aborted task switches". If you don't, this is your reminder:)

I made this video 4 years ago. The people I mentioned in the video have dramatically imoproved their accent and the way they speak English. Including myself:)

You can listen to how I used to sound 4 years ago.
Progress is a real thing. Improvement should not take forever. If you're stuck at the same level as 4 otr 10 years ago, you're doing something wrong or...most probably, you're not doing something important.

Stress & Melody in British and American English. A quick intro

P.S. Don't go UP⬆️ at the end of your sentences. "Upspeak" doesn't help you sound more competent or confident. Instead, you come across as someone who is not sure.
What people say and what we do in the community of practice.

Every Sunday we meet and practice as a group. All members are welcome. Every day we follow our individual practice routines.

Here, you will find a system of exercises to develop your spontaneous speaking skills in English and correct stubborn, unconscious, and often unnoticed speaking patterns.

It’s a place where people come to practice and receive professional feedback from those who have mastered the skills they’re learning.

We have 250+ exercises, tutorials on how to do each exercise correctly, as well as specific practice routines to improve your reading, speaking, listening, writing, and thinking skills in English.

Here, we learn by doing.
