It's a double-edged sword.
The solution that has worked for me is to stop looking for people I can pay to solve my problems, and to learn to solve them myself. Instead of "service providers", I looked for teachers who could help me learn.
If you want to do business or advance your career in English, you need to learn to build relationships with people who speak a different language. There is no textbook on that. There's no school for that. There are no exams and no experts who will certify you.
There is YOUR ability to learn, which you can harness, protect, and develop.
Everybody knows that they need to practice. People know what they should be doing. Knowing it is easy. Doing it is hard.
It's hard not only because you don't have the stamina or the discipline, but because there's so much to do....that you have no idea where to begin and how to continue doing something meaningful every day.
People don't know what to do and so they wait...
They hide...
They miss opportunities.
They consume information, but don't implement it.
They don't get better and so they hide again...
