A 39-year-old man from Karimba Village in Mitheru Ward is reportedly recovering after he was allegedly forcefully circumcised by a group of residents.

According to reports, the residents, said to include boda boda riders, allegedly raised money to hire a circumciser before tracking down the man, claiming he had spent years avoiding the traditional rite.

Reports further claim that some women in the area had complained that the man always insisted on making love in complete darkness to conceal the fact that he was uncircumcised—something many locals say is culturally unacceptable in parts of the Mt. Kenya region.

The incident has since sparked widespread debate online, with many condemning the act as unlawful, while others have defended it on cultural grounds.

A boda boda rider captured a tense confrontation after picking up a passenger in the Karagita area of Mihang'o.

The rider was confronted by a group of fellow boda boda operators who demanded that he drop the passenger, claiming he had picked them up from their designated stage and was taking work that belonged to them.
