Ненцы на полуострове Ямал в России, кочующие со своими оленьими стадами по полярной тундре, вынуждены тепло одеваться. Женская верхняя одежда – ягушка всё ещё в моде. Ягушка – распашная двухслойная шуба, сшитая из шкур северного оленя. Чтобы сделать одну ягушку, понадобится шкуры 6 оленят; их шкура нежнее и эластичнее шкуры взрослого оленя. Для внешнего слоя используют шкуры оленят, забитых летом. Их ворс короче. Для внутреннего слоя нужны шкуры с более длинным ворсом, поэтому забой происходит осенью. Шкуры двух взрослых оленей нужны для изготовления нижней части ягушки, непременно чёрного цвета, в то время как цвет основной части ягушки выбирает сама хозяйка. На воротник используется шкура песца. Всего для изготовления одной ягушки понадобится 8 оленей и один песец. Прежде чем шить из шкуры одежду, её сушат, выделывают и коптят. Только потом делают крой и шьют. Весь этот процесс занимает около двух недель. Еще несколько недель занимает процесс вышивки узоров: часто напоминающих рога оленей. Многие ненцы шьют новую ягушку каждый сезон. Зачастую это вопрос престижа.
Ненецкая обувь - кисЫ, сапоги выше колен - также шьётся из наиболее прочной и тёплой оленьей шкуры. Для этого используются шкуры с ног оленей.
Пока девочка маленькая, она носит малицу, подходящую для детей обоих полов. Малица отличается, прежде всего, наличием капюшона и тем, что она надевается через голову.

Nenets on the Yamal Peninsula in Russia, migrating with their reindeers herds along the polar tundra, have to dress warm. Women's outerwear - yagushka is still in fashion. Yagushka is a two-layer double fur coat made from reindeer skin. To make one yagushka you need skin of 6 young reindeers; their skin is softer and more elastic than the skin of an adult reindeer. For the outer layer, skins of young reindeer slaughtered in the summer are used. Their hair is shorter. For the inner layer, skins with a longer hairs are needed, so slaughter occurs in the fall. The skins of two adult reindeers are needed to make the lower part of the yagushka, certainly black, while the color of the main part of the frog is chosen by the hostess herself. For the collar the fox fur is used. In total, for the manufacture of one yagushka you need 8 reindeers and one arctic fox. Before sewing clothes from the skin, it is dried, prepared and smoked. Only after that they cut and sew it. The whole process takes about two weeks. The process of embroidery patterns, often resembling reindeer horns, takes a few more weeks. Many Nenets sew a new yagushka every season. This is often a matter of prestige.
Nenets shoes - kisy, boots above the knees - are also sewn from the most durable and warm reindeer skin. For this, skin from the legs of reindeer are used.
While the girl is small, she wears a malitsa suitable for children of both sex. Malitsa is distinguished primarily by the presence of a hood and the fact that it is put on over the head.

Женщины племени водаабе (бороро) в регионе Сахель в Нигере - ещё одни претендентки на звание красивейших в мире. Выходцы то ли из северной, то ли из восточной Африки, они обладают отнюдь не негроидными чертами лица и, строго говоря, к негроидам и не относятся. И хотя женская красота у водаабе вторична, все же их женщины уделяют своей внешности особое внимание. Одной из характерных черт женщин водаабе является их пышная прическа, нависающая на лоб и часто покрытая вуалью (хотя водаабе, по сути, остаются анимистами, номинально они мусульмане, принявшие эту религию одними из первых в Африке). Кучерявые волосы девушки начесывают, пока прическа не образует этакий козырёк. Это символизирует скромность - одно из ключевых качеств для водаабе.
Другой признак красоты водаабе - татуировки на лице, характерные только для женщин. И хотя в литературе существует мнение, что эти татуировки могут быть расшифрованы и, подобно тому, как это происходит в племени тамберма в Того, являются своеобразным «паспортом человека», описывающим его социальный статус, сами водаабе не подтверждают эту версию, поясняя, что татуировки подчёркивают женскую красоту, в частности разрез глаз и уголки губ, безусловно считающиеся самыми сексуальными частями тела у водаабе.

Women of Wodaabe (Bororo) tribe in the Sahel region in Niger are another candidates to be the most beautiful in the world. Considered to come from either northern or eastern Africa, they rather do not have negroid facial features and, strictly speaking, are not actually negroids. Although female beauty is secondary in Wodaabe culture, nevertheless the women pay special attention to their appearance. One of the distinctive features of Wodaabe women is their feathering hair partly shielding the forehead and often covered with a veil (although Wodaabe, in fact, remain animists, nominally they are Muslims who adopted this religion among the first in Africa). The girl's curly hair is combed until the hairstyle forms a sort of visor. This symbolizes modesty - one of the key qualities for Wodaabe.
Another sign of Wodaabe beauty is facial tattoos which are common only for women. And although there is an opinion in the literature that these tattoos can be decoded and, just as it happens in the Tamberma tribe in Togo, are a kind of “passport of a person” describing her social status, the Wodaabe themselves do not confirm this version, explaining that tattoos emphasize female beauty, in particular the eye shape and the corners of the lips, which are certainly considered by Wodaabe the sexiest parts of the body.
