on wh40k fans and not being to read or make simple logical conclusions yesterday i saw someone ask on reddit "how come necrons beat c'tan but often lose to other races now" and like. have you tried reading. the full premise of necrons. like the full description on lexicanum or first three pages of any codex after the 5th edition. did you read the war in heaven part and nothing else.

man i wonder why necrons were stronger during the war in heaven totally not because they weren't half-rusted and insane and fighting eachother all the time. these three things that are literally the part of their main description have no bearing whatsoever on their fighting abilities /sarc
