mostly thinking about this because from what i know the most logical traditional style of clothing for necrontyr would be very covered (out of light/breathing fabric obviously) and the armaments would be on top of that. you know. since the sun was evil.

procuring fabric that offers additional protection against radiation normally would be cheaper and more sustainable than constantly using protective creams and such on bare skin in large amounts. also it lets you cover up the blight you already have. also would give an additional reason why is it so hard to remember or find how necrontyr used to look - if most of them barely ever saw unprotected faces and most of the art depicts them covered up

also provides some fun potential for modesty culture and fashion trends. upper class necrons splitting between "look at me showing off alll the healthy skin i have :)" and "this is horribly improper and the society is rotting"..

(also that woud make the biotransferrence even more jarring because suddenly everyone is "uncovered". entire textile industry dead. fashion is also dead. even the armaments are mostly stuck in place.)
