#Day04update
Well, today was a heavy reading day. Finished book-1 of throne of glass series and I am so excited to continue the next oneπ (actually I may read late night π) and the book "Becoming" I am about at page 220.
On the other hand,I also spent a lot of time staring at the JS part of the quiz webpage project but no progress at all π’ After understanding the logic when I try to code no syntax in my mind at allπ What a shameπ
Anyway good night π

Ahh I am not even good with it but let me tell you what I have learned in this month long journey.
consistency is more important than perfection ,always showing up even on the days you don't have any motivation or even when you doubt yourself.
I learn at least one new thing a day and I am not a person good with only theory(i get bored immediately),I had rather remember what I did myself(action) than What I heard as a theory. So more practice than watching some damn long videos on YouTube.I didn't say don't watch but don't watch them upto the end ,rather try the idea there with your own knowledge or ask Google/gpt(sometimes) when you stuck.
One more thing the motivation when you begin and after a while are not the same even at some point you may want to quit or feel like nothing is working in your way.At that time take a little break from what you do(maybe the day u feel that way),relax, and then come back with a plan again in the way feel right and suit you. One at a time.
And lastly you don't have to learn the way other developers learned, pave your own way and when a plan doesn't feel right to u be flexible and try another one.
This is what I remember for nowπ ,hope it helps
keep pushing,You got thisπ«‘

God really saved us today. π€―π
It was raining really hard, and I was just working using my PC while it was charging. Then lightning struck our house. It was so strong that the flash came inside the house, and the shock came through my charger.
It hit me and my mom too. For a few moments, I couldn't even move my legs. I was really scared, but thank God I was okay after a little while.
The crazy part is that only my charger got burned. My PC is somehow still fine. I still can't believe what happened. It could have been so much worse. Today really reminded me how precious life is. I'm just thankful that we're safeπ

π HiveClean: I shipped a real desktop app
okay so remember when I said I was building a file cleanup app? it's actually done now and you can download it.
why I built it:
every semester in university we download tons of course materials, assignments, past papers. then we forget about them. next semester comes, same thing. your Downloads folder becomes a graveyard of old files you'll never open again. your device gets slower. you keep thinking "I should clean this up" but never do it.
so I built HiveClean to solve that exact problem.
what is it?
HiveClean is a Windows app that finds and deletes junk files from your computer. it finds duplicate files, shows you space hogs, categorizes everything, and has a recycle bin so you can undo deletes. also scans your Telegram downloads separately.
what I actually built :
this isn't a tutorial project or homework. it's a real app with real features:
- scans 688 files in seconds using SHA256 hashing
- detects exact duplicates by comparing file contents, not just names
- saves your deleted files to disk so they persist after you close the app
- talks to Supabase (a real database) for user authentication
- packages into a Windows installer that works on any computer
I built both the frontend (what you see) and backend (how it works). wrote 2000+ lines of code. shipped it. packaged it. released it.
how to use it:
1. download HiveClean_Setup from the link
2. run the installer, click next, done
3. click "β‘ Scan Downloads" : it reads your Downloads folder
4. click categories on the left to filter (Videos, PDFs, Images, etc)
5. click checkboxes next to files you want to delete
6. click the red delete button, confirm
7. files go to the recycle bin (safe, can undo)
8. want to scan Telegram downloads too? click "Select Telegram Folder" then " Scan Telegram"
that's it. cleans up space without breaking anything.
The tech stack:
Electron + React + Vite + Tailwind + Node.js + Supabase (auth)
download it here:
https://github.com/sambee-coding/HiveClean/releases
this thing actually works. not a tutorial project. a real app I tried to clean my own downloads it works smoothly .
and thanks for my first tester @Mememe12334 who told me the features that wasn't working ..and i fixed it:)
let me know your experience folks

Today I was basically momβs full-time comedian ππ We cleaned the house together, and she was laughing so hard at my every clumsy actions and talks.
Honestly, I didnβt even do that much because every time I tried to help sheβd be like: βαα α α π α αα α°α α₯ αααα ααπβ Especially when I tried to sweep ππ
