Do you know of "weather sticks"?

When and how our people started using Balsam Fir twigs as barometers, i.e. weather predicters, is lost to history. These sticks bend up with coming great weather, bend down when it's going to rain or snow, and go straight on a fair day.

This one was up on the shed when we got here (along with the folk painted old blade and saw). We had no idea what it was and noticed that it would change its bend from up, down, and straight ahead. A little research and we had the fun finding out what it was! I love everything about this little shed 🤍
