Greetings from cloudy Kiev!

Today we will be posting a lot of news regarding upcoming updates and improvements, so be prepared.

Currently, we continue developing version 1.4.9. While it's named 1.4.9 due to technical reasons, this version alone could have been Multilogin 1.5 or even 2.0 considering the amount of upcoming changes.

The most important change in 1.4.9 is added Local Storage support. It's not hard to add Local Storage support within a single local machine. But, a lot of users choose Multilogin because of its teamwork features. Making Local Storage work across several machines is a complicated engineering task.

Each encrypted browser profile with enabled Local Storage takes 20mb of disk space or more. Considering the overwhelming number of browser profiles stored on our servers, our old infrastructure would not withstand the increased load. This is why we had to completely rework the data storage model.

This new model along with Local Storage support will enable the following:
🔹 Saving browser extensions right from a browser window
🔹 Using browser extensions that utilize Local Storage for saving temporary data (e.g. iMacros, Adblock etc)
🔹 Sharing or transferring browser profiles with full Local Storage cache and installed addons to other Multilogin users

We want to repeat once again that all data is encrypted on your computer with your account password. Not a single bit of it goes to our servers unencrypted. We will later explain our encryption algorithms in detail on our website (the same algorithms are used in Blockchain and NATO).

Many users have requested saving of bookmarks and browser history within a browser. Luckily, this becomes possible after Local Storage is implemented. We can't add this option in 1.4.9 due to interface limitations. It will be added as a global configuration option in Multilogin 2.0

Please be aware that a browser profile launched on version 1.4.9 won't open on 1.4.8 anymore. If you have valuable browser profiles on your account, it's better not to rush with an upgrade. An optimal time to upgrade is 2-3 weeks after the release date.

We plan to release 1.4.9 in 1-1.5 weeks. There will be a separate announcement regarding this.

We have disabled Chromium browser profile creation for new users. A lot of issues accumulated in Multiogin<>Chromium integration. Unfortunately, we don't have enough resources to maintain that integration as we decided to dedicate all available resources to improvement of our own browsers Stealthfox and Mimic.

Please be aware that all existing accounts retain rights to create Chromium browser profiles. You can also use previously created Chromium profiles without any limitations.

For those of you, who would like to migrate from Firefox to Stealthfox or from Chromium to Mimic, in version 1.4.9 we added Firefox->Stealthfox and Chromium->Mimic browser profile converters.

Hey all

we experienced a minor service outage. This is because some Cloudflare servers went down for a very short period of time.

You can monitor Cloudflare service availability here https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/

If you keep experiencing problems with browser profile saving, please restart Multilogin.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, we cannot contact Cloudflare customer support since their support service infrastructure went down as well. We hope this will get fixed soon on their side.

We have applied a quick fix for all traffic to bypass Cloudflare servers. However, it might take a while to work on your computer because of DNS cache. Please be patient.

DNS cache has updated, Multilogin is now operational. We will keep monitoring the issue with Cloudflare until it gets resolved.

Good news for those using automation.
We have updated our public API to match the browser profile standard of Multilogin 1.4.10 (an unreleased version). This means you can now create browser profiles automatically in any 1.4.X version.

API documentation will be updated shortly.

CLI (Command Line Interface) updated is scheduled for the beginning of April.

Multilogin will be in Kharkiv tomorrow. Tomorrow we will send a time and date for a meet up to everyone who replied to an invitation.
