在過去的公眾假期，東鐵綫的列車車長和車站職員，於行車時間結束後參與了一次演習 🌃

模擬訊號系統全面故障，或新舊系統需臨時切換，車站互相聯絡確保路軌暢通後，再展示訊號旗予車長改以人手駕駛

最後，列車在駛到就近的月台後停止服務，盡快讓乘客改搭其他交通工具🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Train Captains and station staff from East Rail Line have joined an exercise during non-traffic hours at the recent public holiday, which re-created the scene of a total failure of the signalling system that required the temporary switch over between new and old systems 🌃

Communications between stations are required in order to confirm the clearance of tracks in the vicinity and to display different hand signals accordingly. These then enable Train Captains to drive their trains manually

When trains arrive at their nearest stations, services would be terminated and passengers would be advised to use alternative transport  🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
