1) Does RBI pay interest to the Government when it purchases G-Sec from Government

2) Is payment on G-Sec done on monthly basis or is it a one-time settlement (I read it somewhere)?

3) Can the Government directly use G-sec to borrow money from players other than RBI, like Banks/NBFCs?

Ans.
1) When RBI is buying G-Sec from govt that means RBI is giving loans to the government. So Govt is supposed to pay the principal + interest to the RBI.
 
2) whether this interest payment is done on monthly basis quarterly basis yearly basis or one time final payment = such operational aspects are not at all important for competitive exams.

3) Yes, but RBI will act as the middle man / public debt manager.
