So let’s talk about a challenge a little bit 🏋️

I’ve been going through the time when I needed to make some unusual, maybe even extraordinary choices that could potentially affect my lifestyle in many different ways.

Basically speaking I’ve got 3 options of the outcomes:

1) Chill-out guy lifestyle
2) Comfort zone lifestyle
3) The most difficult and hardworking lifestyle that I can imagine at this point

So, why do I choose the option №3?

Because I’m curious.

There is a variety of reasons to choose any of those options, but as for the curiosity it drives me more than any of the other things.

It’s like choosing the path to your home that you’ve never used before.
It’s interesting what is there.
It’s also risky though.
Maybe there is no way on that path, maybe it is full of unexpected snakes,mosquitoes or some other creatures and problems that might make your way to home complicated, difficult or maybe even unbearable.
But maybe it is the most blissful, beautiful and amazing road that you could ever take. You just don’t know it yet.

So, by this point I prefer to figure that thing out.

After 6 months I’ll comment it, I promise 😉

“Never wrestle with a pig - you end up dirty and the pig likes it”(c)

I’ve recently seen this phrase and it gave me a couple of flashbacks to my own experiences of that.

It’s incredibly bracing realization of the fact that so much time and energy could be saved without wrestling with those “pigs”.
Once you understand the importance of the ignorance to that unnecessary wrestlings your life might be changed in a tremendously positive way.

But there is one even more important moment which sounds like a question - “I don’t behave like a pig, do I?”
In my opinion, we should always start any judgement with this question and try as much as it is possible to answer it honestly.

If the answer is a clear “NO”, than there is some space for the NO to immoral people. But if the answer is YES or at least not very certain, maybe it’s better to reconsider the strategy.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.(c)

The quote above is just a reminder to all of us that sometimes to become something beautiful it takes some time, work and patience.

When we look at a “butterfly” on some social-media we might easily forget about the “caterpillar” stage.
At that stage the caterpillar wasn’t that beautiful, could not fly and the only capability of it was eating some leaves non-stop.

The most important part that we easily skip is about the transformation.
We don’t pay much attention to what is going on with that caterpillar at the stage, we don’t want to look at it cause it’s not pleasant,we would like to see the result as quickly as it is possible. Right now.

But If we stop for second and think about what is going on with the caterpillar at the stage of being in a cocoon, we might realize that there is a literal death of that thing happening in the cocoon.
The thing must stop being a caterpillar before it becomes a butterfly. Otherwise the evolutional part will just not be completed, which is a problem for the world in a sense or at least just not a beautiful thing.

How much time does the cocoon stage take? God only knows.
In real life I guess it depends on the number of things that should be burnt and transformed inside before everything is finished. It probably depends on the ability to take the first step into the unknown and trust the process.
Also, the speed of the transformation might probably be connected with other creatures around and in case if they respect the cocoon stage and don’t disturb it with some reminders that the caterpillar is supposed to do caterpillars business, the speed is faster rather than slower.

As it’s all a part of a natural process we should respect it and remember that when it’s happening to us or to some people who are close to us, it would be better just to let it happen.

Don’t forget about it when you see someone beautiful, especially inside.

This quote is a comment from the book attached above.
I haven’t finished reading it yet, but I already may say that is probably one of the books that may really be helpful in all peoples lives.
If I ever had a chance to put it in the curriculum of the High school program I would have definitely done it.

Absolutely great Man’s work, for ages I hope.

I`ve recently started to read this book with some of my students and I would say that this is the case when I personally started to read it on my own! Incredibly interesting and easy to read! Highly recommend, just to LET YOU know :)

Нет времени ⏳
Работа, учеба, семья – кажется, что на английский просто не остается сил. В итоге занятия откладываются «на потом», которое никогда не наступает.

Медленный прогресс 🐢
Люди хотят заговорить свободно за пару месяцев, а когда видят, что это требует больше времени и усилий, теряют мотивацию.

Страх ошибок и стеснение 😰
Многие боятся говорить с акцентом, делают ошибки и переживают, что их не поймут. Это вызывает стресс и желание вообще не открывать рот.

Неправильный подход 📚
Зубрежка грамматики, скучные учебники и однообразные упражнения могут быстро убить интерес. Без интереса учить язык тяжело.

Отсутствие реальной цели 🎯
Если нет конкретной мотивации (например, переезд, работа, путешествия), то со временем энтузиазм угасает. Учить просто «для себя» сложно.

Новые возможности 🌍
Работа за границей, учеба в международных университетах, путешествия без языкового барьера – знание английского открывает двери в мир.

Осознание прогресса 🚀
Даже после перерыва знания не исчезают полностью. Когда человек понимает, что уже что-то помнит и может использовать, это вдохновляет двигаться дальше.

Желание понимать любимый контент в оригинале 🎬
Фильмы, сериалы, книги, подкасты, блоги – все звучит круче на английском, без перевода и дубляжа.

Живой интерес и внутренняя мотивация 💡
Иногда человек просто находит способ учить язык с удовольствием: через общение, интересные курсы, игры или путешествия.

Чувство упущенной возможности ⏳
Осознание, что раньше можно было довести дело до конца, но по какой-то причине остановился, подталкивает дать себе второй шанс.

По большому счету люди бросают из-за того что сталкиваются со сложностями, а возобновляют занятия, потому что чувствуют в себе силы с этими сложностями бороться.
На мой взгляд, борьба происходит абсолютно во всех сферах жизни постоянно.
Результат этой борьбы бывает разный, но только от нас зависит победим в итоге мы или же сложности, возникающие на нашем пути.

Желаю всем преодолевать любые сложности и побеждать, далеко за пределами Английского!💪
