I have contacted the President for PGSS UTM to get clarification and data regarding the issue that currently happening for me to bring up to the top management. However, according to him PGSS still have not received any complaint or feedback regarding any issue.

Hence, I would like to call out every PG students that affected to contact your SUPERVISOR and also PGSS to inform them regarding your concern and needs. PG students are advisable to discuss the mod of research with their SV.

[THE DECISION OF THE UNIVERSITY REGARDING STUDENTS’ ENTRY TO UTM]

Based on the briefing given by YBrs. Prof. Dr. Shamsul bin Sahibuddin, TNCHEP, there are some decisions made by the university:-

1. Face to face Teaching and Learning (TnL) is CANCELED for Semester II, Session 2020/2021.

2. Physical Final Examination is CANCELED for Semester II, session 2020/2021.

3. Student returning to campus is POSTPONED untill the end of Semester II, Session 2020/2021 or until further notice.

4. UTMSMART System is temporarily CLOSED - all applications and approvals permissions are VOID.

5. All undergoing Industrial Training (LI) and Teaching Practicum (LM) who wish to return their rented house MUST obtain permission form PDRM.

There are some reconsideration that OPC has decided for students:

1. For KDSE, KTDI and KTHO students there is duration for students to take their parcels without any penalty. (Please refer the notice for the duration)

2. For other residential colleges, OPC provides delivery service to deliver the parcel. (Please Contact OPC for more details)

3. For students at hometown now, OPC provides delivery service to send your parcel using Pos Laju.

[PKPD Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor]

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) hari ini melaporkan perkembangan terkini kes COVID-19 di kampus Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor.

Sehingga kini, sebanyak 49 kes positif COVID-19 telah direkodkan hasil daripada 346 ujian saringan yang dijalankan oleh KKM yang melibatkan penghuni Kolej Datin Seri Endon, Kolej Tun Hussein Onn, Kolej Tun Dr Ismail, Kolej 9 dan 10 serta Pusat Kesihatan.

KKM juga melaporkan kadar positiviti yang tinggi iaitu 14.2% serta taburan kes positif serta kontak rapat telah menular di beberapa kolej lain.

Setelah membuat penilaian risiko bersama pelbagai agensi dalam Jawatankuasa Teknikal PKP dan atas nasihat KKM, Kerajaan bersetuju melaksanakan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Diperketatkan (PKPD) di UTM Skudai, Johor berkuat kuasa 21 Mei sehingga 3 Jun 2021.

Pelaksanaan PKPD ini adalah untuk memudahkan KKM menjalan pengesanan awal kes COVID-19 supaya dapat diasingkan secepat mungkin serta menyekat penularan jangkitan ke kawasan luar.

[EMCO Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor]

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) today reported the latest developments in the COVID-19 case at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai campus, Johor.

Till date, a total of 49 positive COVID-19 cases have been recorded as a result of 346 screening tests conducted by the MOH involving residents of Datin Seri Endon College, Tun Hussein Onn College, Tun Dr Ismail College, 9 and 10 Colleges and Health Centers.

MOH also reported a high positivity rate of 14.2% as well as the distribution of positive cases and close contact has spread in several other colleges.

After conducting a risk assessment with various agencies in the MCO Technical Committee and with the advice of the MOH, the Government agreed to implement the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in UTM Skudai, Johor effective from 21 May until 3 June 2021.

The implementation of this PKPD is to facilitate the MOH to conduct early detection of COVID-19 cases so that they can be isolated as soon as possible and prevent the spread of infection to external areas.

[WHAT IS EMCO?]

Dear all UTMians. We wish you all are doing good and stay healthy.

Ministry of National Security Council has declared EMCO in UTM on 19 May 2021. The EMCO is held starting 9th May 2021 until 19th May 2021.

Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) is the strictest movement control order and is akin to a 'total lockdown' to lockdown specific localities that have been identified as high risk. All activities are ceased during the implementation of the order, and no movement in and out of the EMCO areas are allowed during the EMCO period.
