- To organize and supervise, subject to the direction of the Vice Chancellor, student well-being facilities in the University including recreational facilities, spiritual and religious activities, and the supply of meals and refreshments.

- To make representations to the Vice-Chancellor on all matters relating to, or connected with, the living and working conditions of the students of the University.

- To be represented on any body which may, in accordance with Rules made by the Board for the purpose, be appointed to undertake student welfare activities in the University.

- To undertake such other activities as may be determined by the Board from time to time.

[OPERATION OF RAMADAN DURING THE PERIOD OF CONDITIONAL MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER IN UTM JOHOR BAHRU]

It is informed that the National Security Council has issued SOPs for the states involved with the Movement Control Order on 12 January 2021 and the Conditional Movement Control Order on 18 February 2021. This SOP will be implemented throughout the period of the Conditional Movement Control Order starting March 5, 2021.

This following are the operating hours in the month of Ramadan for food stores, beverage stores, grocery stores & convenience stores:

Food & Beverage Store Category
- Restaurants, shops/food stalls, food trucks, roadside hawkers, street hawkers, food courts/hawker centers and roadside food stalls/kiosks are ALLOWED to operate between 12 pm to 12 am.

Grocery & Convenience Store Category
- Grocery & convenience stores and other food & beverage are ALLOWED to operate between 6 am to 12 am.

Salam sejahtera kepada semua pelajar UTM.

Sepanjang bulan Ramadan ini, Solat sunat Terawih dan aktiviti pengimarahan di Masjid Sultan Ismail, UTM akan dilaksanakan berdasarkan prosedur operasi standard (SOP) dan garis panduan aktiviti keagamaan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Jabatan Agama islam Johor.

Bagi program berbuka puasa pula, pihak MSI akan mengumumkan kemudian di laman Facebook, Masjid Sultan Ismail UTM.
