His Presence
A Chasid from America came up to me at the Kotel and asked, “How can I have the emotional experience of connecting to Hashem?”
I said, “You are asking the wrong question!” There is no need to connect to Hashem. Hashem is infinite and the Infinite is everywhere at all times. There is never a disconnection! What you are looking for is the Shekhinah, the revelation of His Presence.”
Hashem is always everywhere, but He hides. He hides so we will search for Him. When we are so blessed to see a moment of His revealed Presence, the bliss is so great our soul releases its place in the body, and soars upwards, wanting to merge into His holy Glory… but Hashem quickly hides again so we do not leave the body.
Hashem said we should build Him a sanctuary so He will “dwell among us.”[i] Here the Torah is referring to the revelation of the Shekhinah. To reveal His Presence is the spiritual goal of the Jew. We are to seek it continuously.
How do we reveal It? We please Him. We do even more than is required, and He opens the gate as a blessing for our exceptional behavior.

Iran, however, prepared for this approach with very wide dispersal of their capabilities. It is also noteworthy that Iran keeps attacking Iraqi Kurdish sites, as the Kurds post a real threat of ground invasion.
Iran to date has limited their response to attacking U.S. sites in Gulf countries, attempting to cause U.S. pain by military deaths and destruction, and by closing the Strait, causing world economic pain and higher gas prices in the U.S.
What we don’t see.. yet: The U.S. is not doing major damage to Iranian infrastructure, neither their oil industry nor general economic damage (such as factories, roads, trains, electric, water). And Iran is not targeting Gulf State oil industry, though it is all within range of their drones and short range missiles. Nor have they fired at Israel.

▪️BASIC LAW - TORAH STUDY - passes in the Knesset. The Core Declaration: It officially enshrines Torah study as a "foundational value" of the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
Additions that would have equated Torah study with military service were removed, as was a ‘balance’ clause to make it ‘in balance with other fundamental values of the State’.
Therefore, the law makes a moral statement but has no defined service value. Even so, the Movement for Quality Government in Israel filed petitions with the High Court, arguing that the law is a political maneuver (true, but so is much of legislation) designed to institutionalize discrimination and circumvent judicial rulings on IDF enlistment.
▪️ANOTHER GROUP OF BIBLICAL LAND ZEALOTS attempted to cross into Syria via the southern Golan, to move into biblical Israel lands. The IDF stopped them and turned them over to police.
▪️ELECTION POLITICS - Will the haredi parties make a coalition with Yashar’s Eisenkot and The Democrat’s Yair Golan? UTJ’s MK Yitzchak Pindrus: "There is no reality in which we would sit together with people who are distant from faith." ( And they have said they can’t work with Netanyahu, which leaves them??? )

Elevating a Soul ,
Two elderly Jewish visitors from Europe came up to me at the tefillin stand and asked how can they bless the father who passed away. I said, “If today is the anniversary of his passing, then say the kaddish prayer with ten men. If it is not the anniversary, then pray for his soul that it should have an elevation. Do a mitzvah in his name… give some charity and ask Hashem to allow his soul to go up higher. Whenever you pray for him, especially if you do a mitzvah in his name, his soul will go a little higher.”
When the soul leaves the body, it doesn’t cease. It goes into the world of souls. Its portion there is determined by what it did in this world, and our prayers for them are counted as their good deeds. We can thank our loved ones even after they have gone.
