🖥 Computer delivered IELTS:
What is computer based IELTS and is the CD IELTS test different from paper based?
- It is the same IELTS test but you put your answers on the computer rather than on to paper.
What are the differences between PB and CD IELTS?
1) there is no need to transfer your answers to the answer sheet in R&L.
2) at the end of the listening test you get 2 minutes instead of 10 to check your answers.
3) in the majority of cases you take your speaking test on the same day as your main exam.
As you can see there aren't many differences between PB and CD IELTS.
Why take CD IELTS?
1) there are more exam dates available and the registration closes 6 days before the exam (not 14 as with PB)
2) you can save up some time during reading because all the answers are saved automatically.
3) highlighting is available in both R&L which is way better than underlining keywords with a pencil
( ctrl+c, ctrl+v also work but we were told not to use them because "sometimes the system may not save the pasted answer", so use it at your own risk. Ctrl+F doesn't work!)
4) Unanswered questions are shown at the bottom, so you won't definitely forget about them. If you want to redo a certain question, you can put a tick in front of the "review" button and the question will be circled.
5) Writing is more comfortable since you can always copy-paste and change your essay structure without having to erase and rewrite everything.
Why don't take CD IELTS?
1) if you can't type fast with looking at the keyboard, CD exam is not for you at all. There is a very high chance that you won't be able to finish L&W on time.
2) If you aren't comfortable with staring at a computer screen for 3 hours.
A popular myth:
CD IELTS = speaking on zoom.
Fortunately, it doesn't work like that. You don't get to choose the format, but choosing CD doesn't automatically mean taking your speaking test online (my speaking test was face-to-face)

👀Many many people keep asking me about my IELTS and SAT teachers. So here they are.
a couple of People whom I truely respect both as a teacher and as a person:
🏆The best IELTS intsructor in the world. Mr Nodir. Ielts expert🔥. he is the one with whom all my application journey started. Will Never forget the moment when back then he helped in the toughest time of mine. Another teacher would never be able to do what he did.
Moreover, he helped to get 8.5 in reading, with 7.5 overall, which was quite lower than we expected tho.
If u need the bestest IELTS instructor, the funniest English teacher, and a real brother, then u gotta go to his classes. The best one in Tashkent for real. InShaaAllah Soon 8.5💙

Mr Abdulaziz. Although I attended his classes only for two months, even in this small time, i was able to understand that this guy is the best SAT expert out there in Tashkent. the most productive sat teacher. His students got 1520,1540,1560, and 1460😅.
Northwestern class of 2026, He did really teach me many tips and tricks of college application and sat testing.
If u need the bestest SAT expert, and the coolest american teacher, then u just have to go to his classes, man.

Наверное это последний мой пост касательно поступления, так вот, буду краток в этом послании для следующего поколения, а все написанное чисто мое мнение, поэтому если не согласны с какими либо пунктами, то мне похер.
1) Ставьте оценки превыше всего - чтобы отличниками были
2) Если сдаете SAT - то ваш минимум 1550. Сдавайте дофига раз пока не получите такой балл
3) Занимайтесь олимпиадами
4) Помните что универ это в первую очередь учебное заведение, поэтому академическая деятельность превыше любой
5) Делайте научные исследования и проекты? Как? Хз, если бы знал, сам занимался бы ими
6) Никто не верит словам, ни в эссешках, ни в интервью. А уж тем более прагматичные люди в очень конкурентной среде. Говорите результатами и только.
