Questa dei libri per Macity è diventata una vera e propria serie che sto portando avanti da alcuni mesi, tutte le domeniche. Non voglio annoiare segnalandola ogni volta (avrete notato che ho diminuito il numero delle auto-citazioni, pur proseguendo indefesso la mia attività di scrittura) ma in fondo a quegli articoli c’è sempre un rimando ai precedenti, per chi si voglia tenere in pari.

C'è una nuvola all'orizzonte: è una crisi che ha a che fare con i cervelli bolliti dalla costante mancanza del numero corretto di ore di sonno. Non ho la più pallida idea di quali parte di questo articolo riprendere qui. È di un ingegnere di AWS, parla della cultura dei documenti di Amazon, del fatto che debba tutto essere scritto. Sembra un articolo di un topino felice di poter dire di vivere nelle fogne di New York e mangiare, beh, quello che viene giù nelle fogne di New York. Se fate leggere questa cosa a qualcuno che ha una vita da qualche parte e magari un lavoro che non sia quello di fare l'ingranaggio, prova orrore. Se non lo provate, siete quell'ingranaggio.

Voglio dire: a suo tempo l'invenzione della stampa a caratteri mobili ha portato alla diffusione dei libri, alla capacità di leggere in strati sempre più ampi della popolazione, al protestantesimo, ai giornali quotidiani, a milioni di cose che hanno costruito letteralmente una società diversa. Cosa sta facendo il digitale, adesso, sotto i nostro occhi, con una velocità molto più alta e una continua accelerazione?
