In realtà non è vero: si tratta di un fake; la frase originale è del XVI secolo: compare in "Solitudo, sive vita solitaria laudata" una raccolta di poesie del sacerdote olandese Cornelis Musius pubblicata ad Anversa nel 1566. La forma originale è "O beata solitudo, o sola beatitudo". Considerando che New York è stata fondata dagli olandesi, il collegamento nel retro del mio cervello è casuale ma appropriato.
