One of the coolest things I revisit every few months is FPGAs. It’s software defined hardware. Instead of running a program like a normal CPU, you upload code to an FPGA and its physical micro-circuits literally rearrange themselves on the fly to become an entirely new chip. And I am in awe every single time I read an article about it, and I feel like it’s one of the key ingredients to Skynet 🤣 (pdf is basically a recap of its evolution)

Just got onboarded to a project involving LLMs (building one). I haven’t been this excited in a very long time. Now I HAVE to watch all of Karpathy’s videos and try to implement the GPT2 spec. It should be fun.
