Inspired by the work of the community at Web3Privacy Now, we’re currently building a web3 open source projects database & explorer.

For the initial phase, we will publish more than 180 crypto related projects on MOROS explorer.

This tool will help developers to easily find projects and codebase to use, to contribute and to donate to.

Working extra hard to get it done before DEVCON 2024 this mid November.

What's next:

- We have another ~250 projects that need to be processed and added to our database

- In the future, our crawler will detect forked/cloned projects. This could be useful for traders who are looking for alpha in newly launched projects.

What's the plan for DEVCON Bangkok 2024?

Besides sponsoring Web3Privacy Congress (https://congress.web3privacy.info/),

We hired a local marketing agency to walk around the expo and events with a QR code, so new projects and devs can list their own codebase on MOROS Explorer.

Another cybersecurity event in South East Asia sponsored by MOROS NET, this time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This is the second event after the Web3Privacy Congress (DEVCON) in neighboring country Thailand, last November.

Malaysia Cybersecurity Camp is a free 3 days educational bootcamp with very strict selection process, aiming to find raw new talent in cybersecurity.

Alumni from this program have won several international CTF competitions, and secured job placement in major cybersecurity firms. Kudos to MCC trainers and mentors.

We just received a promising proposal from a web3 security project on Base. We met one of the project contributors at DEVCON Bangkok 2024. Pretty cool project with social impact.

Some of you guys suggested us to explore opportunities in alt chain like Solana, but tbh with you guys the vibe is just a bit off over there. Call me a boomer, I can't even understand the humor and culture on Solana.

But on Base, we can see some overlap and familiar culture there. This potential partnership could be the bridge for MOROS to establish itself on L2 chain.

Just a heads up, bridge some ETH to BASE and hold some VIRTUALS.

$MOROS will stay on ETH, we are not migrating and this will be like a sub-project.

Let me explain why we chose this route.

Right now, we have 2 options to deploy and experiment with AI Agent:

1. Self-hosted via ElizaOS
You don't need to tokenize the agent, just run the software and tweak the agent. The downside is, you can't leverage any network effect to help push $MOROS.

2. Virtuals Agent via G.A.M.E AI engine.
The infra will be managed by Virtuals Protocol, but to use this service you will have to launch your own token (attached to the AI Agent). This token will cover the inference costs to run the LLM. The additional benefit is the network effect and exposure we will get from Virtuals and Base users.

When we launch the agent + token (ticker TBA soon) on Virtuals, all of you will have the same opportunity to buy early at around $30k-$100k mcap. (As long as you are well prepared to get in early and can beat any snipers there).

Market is recovering, but there’s still no clear signal that it will continue behaving this way. Not the right time to launch anything.

I’ll admit, it was bad timing on our part too.

While we wait it out, we’re working in the background finding the right project and team to collaborate for our AI project.

I guess the time to execute the initial plan to fully decentralize the grant mechanism and governance is near. We’re working on the smart contracts right now.

The demand for small fundings and grants continues to grow, and MOROS should be the go-to name for it. We’re working with few other grant providers to build this one feature in the dapp (Grant scanner).

While we agree that MOROS DAO should be fully decentralized, the need to keep it safe from bad actors should be the priority for now. We will implement 2 layers governance in the grant contract.

The sister project MOROS AI Agent will be launched alongside the DAO.

This will help MOROS to continue serving the community autonomously.
