Microsoft has relaunched Copilot as a unified app that combines everyday chat, Office assistance, natural-language app building, and always-on AI agents. Home consolidates Chat, Cowork, and Office Copilot, while Code lets users build apps and dashboards with GitHub Copilot-based technology that runs in a governed Microsoft 365 tenant and will support third-party tools. The major addition is Autopilot, a proactive agent that can operate across Microsoft 365 services, browsers, local files, and MCP servers, and has its own Entra identity, email, calendar, OneDrive, and place in the organizational chart instead of borrowing a user’s credentials. Microsoft is also adding Fabric IQ and Work IQ to give Copilot more business context, while billing will combine per-user licenses for standard Copilot with usage-based Copilot Credits for advanced features such as Cowork, Code, Autopilot, and frontier models. Home and Code are rolling out through the Frontier early-access program, Autopilot is due for private preview at the end of September, and Code is expected to arrive for Microsoft 365 Premium and Pro subscribers later this year.

Creating Games with AI, This Time by Meta. At the 2026 Connect event, Meta unveiled two new tools called Horizon Create and Horizon Studio, which make game development much easier with the help of AI. With Horizon Create, all you have to do is describe your game idea in natural language, and the AI will build a complete 2D or 3D game for you without requiring even a single line of code. You can then open your project in Horizon Studio, the web-based version, and edit details such as the environment, characters, game rules, lighting, and the behavior of different elements with greater precision. These tools support progression systems, difficulty adjustment, art direction, and even multiplayer features. The games you create can be published directly on Facebook, Instagram, and Horizon. Horizon Create is designed specifically for mobile devices, while Horizon Studio is accessible through a web browser. Both are currently being made available gradually through Early Access.
