Popular gamer Matthew Thane was shot and killed after an online feud with fellow gamer 23-year-old Alexander Baro. Alexander had gotten so angry that he drove 1,700 miles from California to Texas just to shoot and kill Matthew. After driving the 1,700 miles back home he shot and killed himself.

Brady Oestrike responded to a post on craigslist by Brooke Slocum who was 8- months pregnant, for a sexual encounter. He had agreed to let Brooke bring her boyfriend Charles Oppenneer. After meeting them at a park, he decapitated her boyfriend, killed her, and later killed himself.

In 2017, a former Chinese soldier, Li Guowu, was working as a security guard and was on patrol outside a residential building in Xian when he spotted a woman standing on the window ledge of the 11th floor. Positioning himself to catch her, the woman jumps and falls onto him killing them both on impact.
