In the early 1900s, an American man named Frank Richards was fighting in World War I. At some point he realized he had a strange skill for getting punched full force in the stomach, without it having an impact on him.

After the war, he joined a comedy club and actually started charging people to come and try to punch him.

Frank even invited heavyweight boxer world champions like Jess Willard and Jack Dempsey to come try for themselves, and still nothing.

Before long, Frank started having people jump on his belly. When that still didn’t have an impact, he started having people slam him with an 18 pound sledgehammer.

But when that still failed to hurt him at all, he decided to take things one step further. He fired a 104 pound cannonball at his belly and was once more, completely fine.

Cannonball Richards, as he became known, would go on to do that stunt twice a day in front of stunned audiences for the rest of his career.

In 2016, Brazilian bride-to-be Rosemere do Nascimento Silva arranged for a helicopter to transport her to her wedding venue as a surprise for her fiancé.

Sadly, the helicopter crashed en route, and this footage captured by her photographer reveals her final moments alive.

The crash claimed the lives of not only the bride-to-be but also her brother, the pilot, and the six-month-pregnant photographer.

Heartbreakingly, her fiancé stood waiting at the altar in front of 300 family and friends when he received the devastating news of her passing.

Climate conditions were good at the start of the flight, but during the trip a heavy fog arose which caused the pilot to lose his bearings.

In the 1980s a man with severe OCD shot himself in the head in an attempt to commit suicide. Instead of killing him, the bullet destroyed the part of his brain that was responsible for his OCD, and he went on to become a straight-A college student five years later.

At age 16, Anneliese Michel began blacking out at school, soon experiencing convulsions, vomiting, eating spiders, coal, and even drinking her own urine. She underwent 67 exorcisms and died in 1976.

She died of malnutrition, for which her parents and priest were convicted of negligent homicide. At the time of her death, she weighed only 67 pounds.

Doctors concluded she suffered from Grand Mal Epilepsy and Psychosis.

Her story directly inspired the 2005 film "The Exorcism of Emily Rose."

In early May 2024, Savitri Kumar engaged in a heated argument with her son’s father, Ravi Kumar, during which he repeatedly ordered her to 'throw the child away'.

Subsequently, the mother threw her disabled six-year-old son into a crocodile-infested river, where he was reportedly mauled to death by the animals.

Witnessing the incident, neighbors called the police, who deployed divers to search for the boy in the water, but to no avail.

The rescue team returned the next day and found the boy's body, which had been savaged by crocodiles.

In May 2024, Igor Gomes, a Brazilian teenager, admitted to killing his entire family at home following insults and the confiscation of his cell phone by his adoptive parents.

Igor waited until his father, Isac Tavares, had his back turned in the kitchen before pulling the trigger.

After hearing the gunshot, his 16-year-old sister, Letícia Gomes, hurried downstairs and interrogated him before he shot her in the face.

Gomes confessed that after killing his father and sister, he ate lunch beside their bodies and then headed to a nearby gym.

Later that night, when his mother returned home and discovered her husband's body, he shot her.

He called the police after their bodies began to decompose.

Authorities are considering placing him through a psychiatric evaluation.

A man in Kunashir Island, Russia was mauled and "skinned alive" by a mother bear protecting her two cubs in 2019. The bear clasped his leg in its left teeth, tore away skin from his scalp and buttocks and ripped off an ear. He died nine days later after succumbing to his injuries.

Surveillance cameras recorded Lam entering and exiting an elevator at the Cecil Hotel, talking to herself and appearing to hide from someone.

As the search for Lam continued, hotel guests started complaining about low water pressure.

Some later claimed that their water was discolored and had an unusual taste.

On the morning of February 19, Santiago Lopez, a hotel maintenance worker, discovered Lam's body in one of the four 1,000-gallon water tanks located on the hotel's roof, which supplied water to guest rooms, the kitchen, and a coffee shop.

A 1-year-old girl in China tragically passed away after being born with a rare condition called fetus in fetu, where a fetus was found inside her skull.

This condition, which affects approximately 1 in 500,000 births, led to severe head swelling and developmental delays in the child.

Despite undergoing neurosurgery to address the issue, the girl succumbed to her condition within two weeks due to extensive brain damage.

Only 18 similar cases have been documented worldwide, highlighting the extreme rarity of this condition occurring within the skull.

In 2019, Loren Schauers was ‘cut in half’ after a forklift fell from 50ft and landed on him. His injuries were horrific. He lost both legs and part of his right arm.

Loren ultimately required a hemicorporectomy, a life-saving procedure that necessitated the amputation of the lower half of his body and one arm.

Loren's path to recovery was long and arduous, involving numerous treatments.

Among these was a faecal transplant, a procedure where donor feces is introduced into the body to promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

In 2000, Qian Hongyan survived a devastating car accident at a young age but lost both of her legs.

Growing up in rural Luliang county, Yunnan province, her family improvised due to financial hardship.

Photos from 2005, when Qian was 10, show her learning to walk on her hands, using a halved basketball for balance, earning her the nickname "basketball girl."

That same year, after gaining attention in the Chinese press, she traveled to Beijing to receive free artificial limbs at the China Rehabilitation Research Center.

In a remarkable act of bravery, a middle school teacher in Houston named David Garza saved a 15-year-old girl from an assault on July 28, 2024. Hearing her desperate cries for help, Garza quickly grabbed his firearm and confronted the attacker, who immediately fled the scene. This courageous intervention prevented a potentially tragic outcome and highlighted the importance of community vigilance.

As of now, the culprit has not been caught. The Harris County Sheriff's Office has released a description of the suspect and is actively seeking information from the public. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a white Reebok logo, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.
