Singaporean death row inmate Nagaenthran K. Dharmalingam eats his last meal before execution.

Nagaenthran K. Dharmalingam was a Malaysian drug trafficker who was convicted of trafficking 42.72 grams of heroin in April 2009 upon entering Singapore from Malaysia at Woodlands Checkpoint with a bundle of heroin strapped to his thigh.

Prior to Nagaenthran's execution, his case attracted international attention, with many activists and foreign organizations asking for Singapore to commute Nagaenthran's death sentence to life imprisonment due to his alleged low IQ and overall, to abolish the death penalty while condemning Singapore for its use of the death penalty on drug traffickers.

He was executed on 27 April 2022 at the age of 33.

Sixteen-year-old Terressa Vanegas of Dickinson, Texas, was last seen walking home at around 11:00 PM on October 31, 2006.

On November 3, her body was found in a disused soccer field, lying facedown in a puddle. The teenage girl had been raped and strangled.

According to her family, Terressa was murdered with her own belt. The killer also felt the need to cut her long hair short.

Not long beforehand, Terressa’s friend, 15-year-old Kimberly Ramsey, had gone missing. She was found alive not long after Terressa was murdered, and the person she was with was charged with harboring a runaway. However, it was ultimately determined that her disappearance had nothing to do with the murder.

As of 2018, Terressa’s case was still considered open, but detectives admitted that they were short on clues. Many leads had been followed, and 45 people had been questioned about the murder, but no suspects had been named

In 2013, a Florida man, Jeff Bush, was sleeping in his bedroom when a large sinkhole opened up directly underneath his bed, swallowing him and his entire bedroom. His brother heard him scream, but was unable to see or reach him in time. Bush’s body was never recovered.

When Tatanysha Hedman discovered that her husband, Vincent Phillips, abused their daughter, she took matters into her own hands and set him on fire.

The 40-year-old mother waited for her husband to fall asleep, then she poured kerosene on him and lit a match. She later admitted to police that she intentionally set him on fire because shooting him would have been "too nice”.

Sushil Sharma shot his wife Naina Sahni on July 2, 1995 due to piled up jealousy and insecurity over her friendship with a colleague.  

If this murder was not enough, Sushil took his wife’s body to a restaurant in South Delhi called Baigya.

The eatery’s manager Keshav Sharma accompanied him in his vicious plan of disposing off the corpse.

In what was described by the media as the “Tandoor Murder”, Keshav and Sushil tried burning her body in a tandoor (clay oven).

While the first autopsy revealed the cause of death to be burn injuries, the second one led police to realise that the burnt corpse actually had bullet holes in the head and neck.

Sushil Sharma confessed to the crime and was sentenced to death. His death sentence was later commuted to life, and in 2018, Sushil Sharma walked out of jail a free man, after 29 years in prison.

Keshav Sharma served just 7 years for his involvement.
