Gandhi's comments in Lok Sabha during the Winter Session of Parliament came in the backdrop of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar's recent response saying there is "no” record of the deaths of protesting farmers.

Responding to questions by Congress MP Digvijaya Singh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs Nityanand Rai told Rajya Sabha that no Kashmiri Pandit or Hindu has been displaced from the valley.

The Winter Session had 18 sittings and witnessed the passage of key legislations such as the Farm Laws Repeal Bill and the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill.
