Opposition leaders from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will on December 14 hold a protest march in Delhi against the suspension. Congress’ Rahul Gandhi is also expected to join them

Taking part in the protest march from Parliament to Vijay Chowk, the Congress MP accused the government of not allowing Opposition to raise any issue of national importance while Bills after Bills were being passed during the Winter Session.

The report by the 30-member panel reviewing the country’s first proposed data protection law has been tabled in Parliament two years after the Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha.

The Opposition is geared up to oppose the Bill seeking to link Aadhaar with electoral rolls in the Rajya Sabha today and force the government to send it to a parliamentary panel

The session which began on November 29 on a stormy note was scheduled to run till December 23. But the top ministers in the government are expected to hold a meeting today to discuss a possibility of adjourning the House by December 22.

The Winter Session had 18 sittings and witnessed the passage of key legislations such as the Farm Laws Repeal Bill and the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill.
