After Lily Liu recently stated that “Memecoins don’t define Solana,” Alon has ensured that all new memecoins on Pump.fun will now launch paired with USDC.

I personally believe this will be made optional for coin developers to select the pair they wish to use against their token.

Turns out I was right about the optional USDC token pairing, actually really bullish on it to be honest - increased floor prices will improve stability on new pairs which is something we needed.

Since the pumpswap pools the decreased initial floor price has caused a lot of volatility and enabled bad actors to buy a lot of the supply initially for a low cost, difference with the USDC pairs isn't too much but its a step into the right direction..

btw the cabal have been cooking, another 34x on a fresh launch today - things you love to see in these market conditions
