The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

◽️ In Kupyansk direction, Ground-Attack and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Novoselovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Kotlyarovka, Zagoruikovka, Ivanovka, and Pershotravnevoye (Kharkov region). An ammunition depot of the 3rd Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Dvurechnoye.

◽️ In addition, actions of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thwarted near Sinkovka and Orlyanskoye (Kharkov region).

💥 During the day, up to 120 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, two armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and one Grad MLRS vehicle have been destroyed in this area.

◽ In Krasny Liman direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Tsentr Group of Forces engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Nevskoye, Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic), and Grigorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 The enemy's casualties were more than 75 Ukrainian personnel and two armoured fighting vehicles.

◽️ In Donetsk direction, the assault detachments have liberated three quarters in northwestern, central, and southwestern parts of the city of Artyomovsk. Russia's Airborne Troops isolated the city from the northern and southern outskirts.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, and artillery of the Yug Group of Forces have been supporting the actions of the assault detachments in this area.

📊 Over the past 24 hours, aircraft flew 4 sorties, and the Group's artillery carried out 67 firing missions in this area.

◽️ Attempts of the Ukrainian troops to counterattack assault detachments have been thwarted close to Stupochki and Krasnoye (Donetsk People's Republic), as well as in the north-western and central parts of the town of Artyomovsk.

💥 An ammunition depot of the 68th Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Krasnogorovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 The enemy's losses in this direction amounted to up to 380 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, five armoured fighting vehicles, eight motor vehicles, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, one D-20 howitzer, and one Grad MLRS.

◽️ In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on AFU units close Ugledar, Pavlovka (Donetsk People's Republic), and Chervonoye, Malaya Tokmachka, and Kamenskoye (Zaporozhye region)

◽️ In addition, actions of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thwarted near Vladimirovka and Neskuchnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥 Total enemy losses in these directions amounted to up to 120 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and one Msta-B howitzer.

◽️ In Kherson direction, up to 30 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and one D-30 howitzer have been destroyed over the past 24 hours.

💥 An ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been obliterated close to Zmievka (Kherson region).

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 98 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 133 areas during the day.

💥 One AFU's pontoon-bridge across Seversky Donets River was destroyed near Seversk Malyi (Donetsk People's Republic). A command and observation post of the 110th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was eliminated close to Avdeevka (Donetsk People's Republic). A fuel depot of the 17th Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Konstantinovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

✈️ Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down three airplanes of Ukrainian Air Force including:

▪️ two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets were shot down close to Novoukrainka and Sergeevka (Donetsk People's Republic);

▪️ one Su-25 was downed close to Dolgenkoye (Kharkov region).

💥 Russian air defence facilities have shot down one Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Ugledar (Donetsk People's Republic).

◽️ In addition, the air defence forces shot down four HIMARS MLRS projectiles and neutralised six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles close to Podo-Kalinovka (Kherson region), Komsomolskoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Novoegorovka, Ilyinka, and Chernopopovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

📊 In total, 411 airplanes and 228 helicopters, 3,776 unmanned aerial vehicles, 415 air defence missile systems, 8,732 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,089 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 4,619 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 9,617 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

◻️ In South Donetsk direction, the Russian units impeded the enemy's attempt to conduct reconnaissance-in-force against the forward positions of the Vostok Group of Forces. Moreover, one reconnaissance unit was neutralised. Motorised rifle units supported by artillery and Army Aviation repelled all the attacks eliminating up to 20 militants. 

💥 In Zaporozhye direction, TOS-1 eliminated an enemy stronghold close to Novodanilovka and neutralised more than 10 militants. 

🚁 Ka-52 helicopters destroyed a hangar with enemy military equipment near Novoandreevka and an ammunition depot in Novodanilovka.

◻️ In Krasny Liman direction, the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces detected and shot down two HIMARS projectiles. Moreover, the Tor-M1 anti-aircraft system downed one Leleka-100 unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

💥 Operational-Tactical Aviation of the Russian Group launched air strikes on command and observation posts and an ammunition depot of the enemy. 

💥 Positions of the 25th Air Assault Brigade and 66th Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were eliminated by artillery fire in the area of Yampolovka and Nevsoye. 

◻️ Positions of the 58th Motorised Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 5th National Guard Brigade of Ukraine were uncovered by ground-based reconnaissance means in the area of Chevonaya Dibrova and Torskoye.

◻️ In Kupyansk direction, the Zapad Group of Forces uncovered and eliminated two sabotage and reconnaissance groups detached from the 14th Separate Mechanised Brigade and 103rd Separate Territorial Defence Brigade, and also disrupted two attempts to rotate military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by artillery fire on forward positions close to Sinkovka and Krakhmalnoye.

◻️ Two Lancet and Kub loitering munitions inflicted a fire damage on a concentration of military hardware close to Katerinovka. As a result, one T-72 tank, two motor vehicles, and five militants have been neutralised.

💥 Moreover, Msta-S self-propelled artillery crew commanded by Sgt. Aleksey Kubarev and Senior Sgt. Andrey Vorobyev eliminated two Paladin self-propelled artillery guns and one D-20 gun by the Krasnopol high-precision ammunition close to Dolgenkoye, Petropavlovka, and Urochishche Revucheye.

💥 Russia's Tor-M2 SAM crews have downed three Ukrainian UAVs close to Kolomeychikha and Dobrolyubovka: two Valkirie and one Elf drones.

Grad MLRS crews of the Western Military District perform firing missions in the special military operation

💥 Artillery units of the Western Military District continue to hit artillery batteries of the AFU, destroy camouflaged defensive structures, suppress command posts, and destroy enemy firepower, weapons, and military hardware during the special military operation.

🎯 MLRS artillery is also used for barrage fire along possible enemy retreat or offensive routes.

🔎 Accurate targeting has a crucial role. Artillerymen of the Western Military District are assisted in this by UAV crews. The data collected is promptly transmitted to the field headquarters and the commanders of the MLRS batteries.

◽️ In Kupyansk direction, Ground-Attack and Army aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Masyutovka, Krakhmalnoye (Kharkov region), Novoselovka and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People's Republic). Actions of three sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thwarted near Sinkovka and Timkovka (Kharkov region) and Rozovka (Lugansk People's Republic). 

💥 The enemy has suffered losses of up to 50 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, and two pick-up trucks.
 
◽ In Krasny Liman direction, aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Yampol, Seversk Maly, and Serebryanka (Donetsk People's Republic). 

💥 The enemy's casualties were more than 60 Ukrainian personnel, two tanks, two armoured fighting vehicles, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery gun, and one D-30 howitzer.
 
◽️ In Donetsk direction, the assault detachments have been engaging the enemy in the west of Artyomovsk. Russia's Airborne Troops support the assault detachments to take control over the city and foil the enemy's attempts to counterattack on the flanks and redeploy the reinforcement. 

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation have made 10 sorties in the past 24 hours. And artillery of the Yug Group of Forces have carried out 64 firing missions in this area. The strikes hit the AFU units close to Bogdanovka, Krasnoye, and Stupochki (Donetsk People's Republic). 

💥 The enemy's losses in this direction have amounted to up to 470 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, three tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, six armoured fighting vehicles, four motor vehicles, one Grad MLRS self-propelled artillery system, one Msta-B howitzer. An ammunition depot of the 72nd Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic).
 
◽️ In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on AFU units close Ugledar, Velikaya Novoselka, and Shevchenko (Donetsk People's Republic). Actions of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thwarted near Pavlovka (Donetsk People's Republic) and Malinovka (Zaporozhye region).

💥 Total enemy losses in these directions have amounted to up to 30 Ukrainian troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, and one D-30 howitzer.

◽️  In Kherson direction, over 15 Ukrainian troops, two motor vehicles, one U.S.-made M777 artillery system, and two Msta-B howitzers have been neutralised over the past 24 hours.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 86 AFU artillery units at their fire positions, manpower, and military hardware in 127 areas during the day. The AFU Bakhmut Group joint HQ was struck close to Konstantinovka. Moreover, three command and observation posts of the 25th Air Assault Brigade and 116th Territorial Defence Brigade have been engaged close to Terny and Tonenkoye (Donetsk People's Republic). 
 
💥 Russian air defence facilities have shot down three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles close to Vladimirovka (Donetsk People's Republic), Kremennaya and Kuzemovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

◻️ In South Donetsk diection, an attempt by the enemy to launch an airstrike on the forward positions of the Vostok Group was foiled. An Igla man-portable air defence system operated by the Pacific Fleet Marines in the vicinity of Ugledar shot down an AFU Su-25 aircraft.

◻️ Air reconnaissance systems detected an enemy reconnaissance team. It was neutralised by mortar battery fire, eliminating four militants.

💥 In counter-battery warfare, the Zoopark artillery reconnaissance system detected an enemy mortar crew near Ugledar. The enemy was overwhelmed by a Msta-B gun. Artillery fire also destroyed an armoured vehicle and five militants near Novomikhailovka.

◻️ In Zaporozhye direction, a Tor SAM system shot down a fixed-wing UAV. The enemy ammunition depot near Kamenskoye, as well as an armoured vehicle in Stepovo and a pick-up truck in Shcherbaki were confirmed destroyed by artillery fire, and more than 10 militants were eliminated.

💥 The Penicillin counter-battery system detected an enemy howitzer close to Novoselovka. It was obliterated by a crew of the Msta self-propelled artillery system.

CSTO Military Committee discusses development of military cooperation

◽️ A meeting of the Military Committee of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) was held today, chaired by Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces First Deputy Minister of Defence General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, via videoconference.

◽️ Delegations from the general staffs of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat, participated in the session.

◽️ During the meeting, the attendees exchanged the views on the military and political situation in collective security regions, and topical issues concerning the development and improvement of CSTO military cooperation.

⚓️ The Pacific Fleet corvette Aldar Tsydenzhapov successfully hit shore targets during the snap inspection

💥 During the third phase of the snap inspection, the corvette Aldar Tsydenzhapov, a member of the fleet's warship detachment, conducted artillery live-fire drills in the Sea of Japan.

🎯 The corvette's crew successfully hit the shore targets by firing the 100 mm A-190 gun.

The snap inspection confirmed the high readiness of the Pacific Fleet to repel aggression from oceanic and maritime directions

✅ The snap combat readiness inspection of the Pacific Fleet has been completed.

◽️ During the inspection, supervised by Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, the military command and control bodies, troops and forces of the Pacific Fleet confirmed their combat readiness to accomplish tasks to repel aggression by a possible enemy from ocean and sea.

◽️ The command and personnel of the Fleet prepared the forces for combat operations in a short time, carried out operational deployment, and practised a range of training and combat missions in the near and off-shore maritime zones. Warships conducted exercises to repel massive missile and aviation strikes and search for and destroy submarines in designated areas of the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea, and carried out torpedo and artillery firing and missile launches at mock enemy ships and surface facilities.

◽️ Multi-purpose submarines, ASW and attack ships, the Bal and Bastion coastal missile systems, in co-operation with naval aviation, practised various means of action to prevent mock enemy forces from deploying in the operationally important region of the Pacific Ocean - the southern part of the Sea of Okhotsk - and to repel their landing on the southern Kuril Islands and Sakhalin Island.

◽️ The coastal forces and marine units of the Pacific Fleet carried out a series of measures to bring them to the highest levels of combat readiness and trained organising and conducting counter-assault defence of a section of coastline by carrying out exercises and live firing at training ranges.

◽️ The Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 long-range bombers conducted flights into the central Pacific Ocean with simulated strikes against mock ship groups. Crews of anti-submarine warfare aircraft of the Navy carried out anti-submarine warfare exercises. The fleet's air defence forces carried out air defence missions involving the deployment of S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, Pantsir-S surface-to-air missile and cannon systems and radar stations in new position areas on air defence duty.

📊 A total of over 25,000 servicemen, 89 airplanes and helicopters, 167 warships, including 12 submarines, were involved in the snap inspection.

◽️ The troops (forces) of the Pacific Fleet involved in the surprise inspection are now returning to their basing and permanent deployment points.

In accordance with a decision by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a surprise inspection of the combat readiness of the Pacific Fleet, parts of the air and space forces and support units was conducted from 14 to 20 April 2023.

The goals of the inspection were to assess the condition and increase the readiness of the military command and control bodies, troops and forces to carry out tasks for their intended purpose and to build up the ability of the armed forces to resolve tasks to repel aggression by a likely enemy from the ocean and sea.

💥 The Yug Group of Forces hit a temporary deployment area of the 54th Mechanised Brigade of the AFU near Slavyansk, and destroyed a firing position of a BM-21 Grad MLRS of the enemy near Novoselovka Pervaya.

💥 In Lisichansk direction, aviation of the Southern Military District destroyed a pontoon bridge across the Seversky Donets River close to Dronovka and an enemy ammunition depot near Kamenka.

◻️ Near Grigorovka, an artillery crew of D-30 howitzer of the artillery brigade of the 2nd Army Corps eliminated a fuel depot.

💥 Fire raids by artillery units of the Yug Group of Forces hit temporary deployment and concentration areas of the reserves of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Dzerzhinsk and the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Avdeevka.
