βClef supports Merged Lyrics out of the box! But wait, what exactly is that? π§
βThink of it as a "Lyric Fusion." While most players simply ignore external TTML files, Clef embraces them. It takes the standard LRC lyrics (and translations) from your music metadata and merges them with matching external TTML/LYR files in the same folder.
βAnd...Why do it this way?
1. The Best of Both: You get high-end features like syllable-level karaoke and phonetics from the TTML, without losing the translations in your metadata.
2. Clean & Flexible: Many TTML files come with messy or missing translations. With this design, you can keep a "clean" external TTML for the fancy effects and let the metadata handle the language you actually want.

.icon format more preciselyRecently, I have not released any new versions for most of my apps. Thatβs because:
1. I lost interest in writing these parts:
for Clef, the music player, itβs file management using SAF and the Rust playback core;
for Compound, the Telegram client, itβs syncing functions from the official client and keeping everything in control with the wild core, TDLib.
And so on.
2. I do need to be more concentrated on my academic performance, so the rest of my energy is only enough for making small idea-shot apps like #refract.
3. My body and mental health require me to get away from the computer. I was hospitalized in May, which reminded me that I should care for myself more for a better life, and I might have an operation in July, so I might not play with these codes for the whole summer.
There might not be any updates before August, and I do value the chance that we met here.
Best regards,
Simon.
