Chinese animated powerhouse “Ne Zha 2” has surpassed Disney’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” to secure its spot as the fifth highest-grossing film of all time globally. According to data from ticketing platform Maoyan, the film’s global earnings, including presales, have exceeded about 2.09 billion U.S. dollars as of Saturday. The milestone was reached just 45 days after the film’s release during the Chinese New Year on 29th January.

To conduct rescue operations in Myanmar due to devastating 7.7- magnitude earthquake, a plane carrying relief items and medical supplies along with the 37 rescue personals from China arrived at Yangon International Airport on March 29th. They were welcomed at the airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Region Security and Border Affairs Minister, Mayor, First Secretary from Embassy of China in Myanmar Mr. Zhu Feng and many other concerned officials. 37 rescue personnel are from Yunnan Province and they proceeded to Nay Pyi Taw to assist the rescue operations promptly in quake hit areas, upholding the existing China-Myanmar Pauk Paw Relations.

The first consignment of relief material, provided by the Government of India, arrived in Yangon on Saturday. A search and rescue team and medical team was also sent to provide assistance in rescue operation at quake hit areas. The first tranche of 15 tonnes of relief material, include tents, blankets, sleeping bags, food packets, hygiene kits, generators, and essential medicines. These relief items were formally handed over to Chief Minister of Yangon U Soe Thein by Ambassador Abhay Thakur at Yangon International Airport

In order to provide assistance in relief measures at the quake hit areas, a 120-member rescue team from Russia left from Moscow on Saturday. They will assist in the rescue operation at the areas affected by the severe earthquake. A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar at 12:51 PM local time on March 28, with its epicenter located about 20 kilometers northeast of Mandalay. It was described as a shallow earthquake of 10 kilometers deep and it caused quite substantial damage, followed by small aftershocks. The strong tremor led to the collapse of infrastructure, including roads, bridges, hotels and public residential buildings.
