Japan Cherry Blossom Festival in the City of Kawazu

Many visitors enjoyed the final day of Kawazu Cherry Blossom festival in the city of Kawazu on 9th March. Located around 175 kilometres south of Tokyo, Kawazu boasts over 800 cherry blossom trees that stretch for about 4 kilometres along the local river. The popular event which held from early February to early March annually, celebrates the blooming of the Kawazu Cherry Trees (Kawazuzakura) and attracts almost two million visitors annually.

The traditional Bulgarian “Todorov Day” was held in the city of Svoge. The event also dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Bulgaria. According to history, Bulgarians celebrate this day in memory of the hero Todorov. Bulgarians not only decorate and race their horses, but also have a tradition of women getting up early to bake bread and giving it to horse owners and horses to celebrate a bountiful harvest.

In Ashgabat, a concert in honor of International Women’s Day was held at the National Music and Drama Theater. In Greek mythology, the sparrow was the symbol of true love and spiritual connection. In some cultures, a sparrow flying into one’s home symbolizes good luck and happiness.
The Nature Forever Society created World Sparrow Day to focus on the conservation of sparrows and other common birds in urban areas.
