Japan Traditional Rice Cake Ceremony

A traditional rice cake ceremony was held at Hikone Castle in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The castle, a national treasure,
hosted the event to distribute "kagami mochi," large round glutinous rice cakes. Eleven members of the castle's management team divided two cakes,
one weighing about 30 kilograms and measuring 50 centimeters in diameter, with staff members applying significant force to cut it. The rice cake pieces,
each about three centimeters long, were placed in paper bags stamped with Hikonyan, a popular local mascot.

A Month-long Flower festival in Chattogram

A month-long flower festival has kicked off in Bangladesh’s port city of Chattogram.
The Chattogram flower festival 2025 has been decorated with more than 100 thousand flowers of 136 species like Dubai’s miracle garden.
Colourful flowers are displayed in the festival mesmerizing the visitors. This festival will remain open till February 4th.
Traditional foods and handicrafts are sold in the festival alongside cultural performances.
Visitors can also enjoy boating in the lake and children can play with various toys in the park.

The workshop produces traditional dresses, known as “Jerusalem dresses,” which feature intricate embroidery passed down through generations.
These garments were listed on UNESCO’s world cultural heritage list. The process involves careful selection of fabrics and colors, with designs incorporating traditional symbols like wheat stalks and the symbolic green color.
