Inverted Tulip Festival in Turkish Karayazi District
The Karayazı district of Erzurum hosted the ‘Karayazı Reverse Tulip Festival’, showcasing its unique natural beauty and cultural richness, on 24th and 25th May. During the two-day event, visitors enjoyed a variety of experiences, from folk dancing and cave exploration to tasting local cuisine and visiting historical sites. Horse races were also held at the festival, which started early in the morning. In the evening, a youth walk was organized. There were plenty of photo opportunities for nature lovers, and the inverted tulip was the focus of many photo shoots.

In the quiet village of Erriadh, far from the busy beaches of Djerba, colors came to life. The old walls, once plain and still, became a canvas for dreams. In 2014, artists from thirty countries gathered here, bringing paint, passion, and stories from around the world. With over 4,500 cans of spray paint, they created more than 250 murals, on doors, arches, rooftops and narrow streets. An art exhibition by artist Zin Mar Nwe and 27 of her new generation art students was held at the “MULA Art Gallery” in the Ministers’ Office of Yangon from the 31st of May to the 2nd of June, 2025. This exhibition is titled “Private Fine Art Teaching Group Show”. Some of the art students are graduates from the National University of Arts and Culture and they continue pursuing their arts studies part-time at the private training centers. And, some are students who study art out of their hobby.

Moroccan village women weave their way to empowerment
In a small house near the southern coast of Morocco, a group of women worked together on large embroidered canvases. This ladies-only workshop started in 2022 in the village of Sidi R’bat, where many women face unemployment. The project grew from a simple wish to create and work together, giving each woman a steady monthly income. Instead of working like a typical cooperative, their art is sold at exhibitions to support them. The community welcomed the workshop warmly and it inspired other women nearby to start their own small businesses, like baking.
