Timeless Hinamatsuri Celebration in Japan’s Murakami City

In the heart of Niigata Prefecture, the charming townhouses of Murakami City came alive with vibrant displays of Japanese Hina dolls, marking the annual "Hinamatsuri" or Girls’ Day on March 3. Once a castle town along the Sea of Japan, Murakami now celebrated the festival by showcasing these colorful, intricate dolls in 62 traditional townhouses, or "Machiya," scattered through the downtown area.Some of the Hina dolls on display were centuries old, showcasing tradition and craftsmanship.

Many visitors enjoyed the final day of Kawazu Cherry Blossom festival in the city of Kawazu on 9th March. Located around 175 kilometres south of Tokyo, Kawazu boasts over 800 cherry blossom trees that stretch for about 4 kilometres along the local river. The popular event which held from early February to early March annually, celebrates the blooming of the Kawazu Cherry Trees (Kawazuzakura) and attracts almost two million visitors annually.

In Ashgabat, a concert in honor of International Women’s Day was held at the National Music and Drama Theater. Under the direction of the Artistic Director of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, Conductor Rasul Klychev, the orchestra created a unique atmosphere in which the main soloist of the evening, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Zhalilov, performed.
