French Artist Othoniel’s Work fills Avignon in City-wide Exhibition
In France's southeastern city of Avignon, a monumental exhibition of works by contemporary artist Jean-Michel Othoniel is on display in more than ten locations across the city. Man with Millions of Seashells
What started as a childhood pastime for Baran Çetin has turned into one of the largest private seashell collections in the world. The Malatya-based civil engineer has spent the last 15 years amassing more than 10 million seashells. His passion began in Altınoluk, where his family had a summer house. Over time, his collection expanded beyond Türkiye’s coastlines. He also travelled the world to collect seashells. Today, Çetin owns shells from every sea and every ocean, truly representing “every corner of the world.” Alongside collecting, he also designs seashell-based art and accessories.

The Turkish Cultural Route Festival continues in Erzurum, designated as the 2025 Tourism Capital. As part of the festival, the ‘Poets’ Gathering’ was organized at the Aşık Sümmani Lodge, where traditional folk poets showcased their skills in musical poetry battles. The festival began in Adana in April this year set to visit 20 different cities throughout the year,with Erzurum being the ninth stop. Masters of traditional Turkish folk music came together to preserve and pass on the centuries-old tradition of Turkish folk poetry to younger generations through performances featuring improvised poetry duels and traditional songs.

Nostalgic Pinball Venue in Eastern France

Nostalgic Pinball Venue in Eastern France
In a village in Franche-Comte, eastern France, a couple of enthusiasts is reviving the passion for pinball in the cellar of a 16th-century castle. The passion for pinball machines started to develop in Vincent Harry when he was a teenager. Since then, he’s been collecting pinball machines from lots of operators even the broken ones. His enthusiasm encouraged him to create pinball venue at Chateau, to attract visitors and let them enjoy a nostalgic café atmosphere that no longer exists.
