so, I woke up to the news that new lost episodes of Doctor Who were discovered

this is HUGE, LIKE FR. and it's 2episodes from a story "the daleks' masterplan", which is i think the longest, it has 12parts and shows the first on screen death of the doctor's companion (and the second one too actually)

якщо коротко, в 60х ббс впадлу було зберігати записи епізодів, і вони перезаписували нові на ту ж саму відеоплівку, і ці старі епізоди знищувалися.
збереглася лише аудіо доріжка, яку наклали на фото які зробили з прем'єри, або промо якісь, і це ось так лише можна подивитися втрачені епізоди. хоча парочку зробили у вигляді анімації!
їх шукали по всьому світу, у різних людей, в різних колекціях, і ця знахідка стала першою за дуже багато років, і тим більше з такої важливої історії. це дуже вау!

але ще близько 100 залишаються втраченими..

lmao, я послухала інтерв'ю with peter purves, who played steven (honestly great interview), і він там каже що катаріну (the first dead companion, honorary title) прибрали, бо вони подумали що дівчинці яку доктор підібрав в трої було б занадто складно і незрозуміло як пояснювати всі принципи подорожей в часі і всю наукову частину, і тому оффнули її одразу, бля😭😭😭

-I hate his writing style
-he's a bit too obsessed with words like black, darkness, "brooding gloom"
-he's racist
and citing one critical essay: "whatever Conrad's problems were, you might say he is now safely dead."– I enjoyed reading this essay far more than I did the book haha

how i feel when I found 3new bands in a span of 2days:

with high possibility of more coming, cause im diving into misshitsu kei (also sometimes referred to as eroguro or angura kei but apparently that's not entirely correct), which is basically bands that are different from wider visual kei and of irreverent nature. and the name came from cali≠gari's label misshitsu neurose
