Where, oh where
can I find
a heart so pure
And open mind

Here I lay
Among the grass
With nittles and spikes
Among shards of glass

Of dreams still shattered
And lost to time
Hopes like they mattered
To me and mine

I am alone
To contemplate deeply
Thrown long stones
Organized so neatly

Find not my mate
Among the masses
A shadow cast
Neath revealing glasses

For up I look
And wish to ponder
What can I find?
Where can I wonder?
