Yellowstone’s “Queen of Wolves” 907F dies after rival pack attack

One of Yellowstone National Park’s most iconic wolves — 907F — died on Christmas day after a fight with a rival pack three days prior while she and her pups were feeding on a bison carcass. At 11 years old (typical lifespan is 2-5 years), 907F was one of the oldest known wolves in the park, a fierce leader and mother.
