It is unusual to see a such a late marble stone of this style. Granite has been the most commonly preferred stone for grave markers since the early 20th century. This beautiful white marble was likely chosen to match the other stones in the family plot.

Ella was a public school teacher. She never married and had no children, instead living the bulk of her adult life with two (also unmarried) sisters. Her cause of death is noted as a coronary occlusion.
