🛰⚡️- MiniMap version 1.1.1 is live!
Changes & improvements:
- To best ensure our user’s security and privacy, MiniMap will be sunsetting usernames. New accounts will be created with only an email address and password. For the time being, users will continue to be able to log in with their existing username, but should get in the habit of using the email associated with their account to log in. If you have forgotten the email associated with your account, you can check the Account Details panel in the app’s Settings, or click the “Forgot email?” button on the login page following an unsuccessful login. Additionally you may contact support for assistance at @minimapsupport on Telegram and by email at support@minimap.technology. Eventually, username logins will be disabled. This has no effect on passkey accounts.
- Added a new 1 Year subscription option.
- Coordinates can now be given names.
- The FIRMS timeline is hidden by default, and can be shown by tapping the new timeline button on the left of FIRMS filter bar.
- Made Feeds globe labels higher quality and clearer.
- Our Privacy Policy has been updated. MiniMap has begun running ads for our service on third party platforms. In lieu of this, we detect when someone who arrived via an ad makes a purchase, and report only the ads click ID to our ad platform to help us gauge the performance of our ads. No personal information is ever sent to our ad provider. This only affects someone when they arrive to the site through an ad, and has no effect on any users in any other circumstance. In addition, all users who arrive via an ad may opt out of having their purchase conversions tracked.
Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where Coordinates labels wouldn’t show on the globe.
- Fixed a bug where Border’s country names showed through the far side of the globe.
